Bullet Points
** Arizona has thousands of extinct volcanoes and three active volcanic fields. But no currently erupting volcanos.
** Photo right: Wet Beaver Creek, AZ. Who doesn’t like a wet beaver? (Coconino National Forest – also home to the White Wolf Mine.) When you tire of Wet Beaver, there’s Clear Creek, which my grandkids prefer.
** In search of a perfectly woke world.
** If a man can identify as a woman and compete in the Olympics, can an able-bodied athlete identify as disabled/crippled and compete in the Paralympics? There are a lot of gold medals to be had, friends.
** Understanding timers and switches in a combat context.
** Today, it’s a tourist trap, but if you’re in Prescott, you must visit the Palace at least once. It’s popular at lunch, and surprisingly, mostly men eat there.
** Coyboy Movie – The Homesman (Tommy Lee Jones, Hillary Swank) Trailer.
**beeppocalypse now? Jules says yes, and she explains how she copes.
** Remote viewing and astral projection? Yes, it works – and it’s proven to work, but not for everyone. Most people who are good at this are ‘damaged’ by life. I’ve never been involved with this directly, but I know of people who have used it in government. It’s not all that different from the use of ‘genuine’ psychics. It would be best if you didn’t dismiss it altogether. They’re not all crackpots.
** This white lady is incredibly racist, inferring that negros graduating from high schools don’t understand quadratic equations and aren’t prepared for advanced engineering careers.

A Question of Caliber
Any gun caliber can be lethal, but we were curious about which gun calibers were used more often in crimes and homicides in the U.S. Our latest installment covers gun death statistics by caliber in the United States.
Surprisingly, there isn’t much information on the subject, but we collected all pertinent data and created the report. Here are a few highlights:
- The 9mm is used in more fatal and non-fatal shootings than any other caliber.
- Handguns contribute to 46% of all homicides in the U.S.
- Medium-caliber bullets (9mm, .380, .38) are used in more crimes but have lower death rates than large-caliber bullets.
While the anti-gun lobby and politicians focus on banning AR-style rifles, these calibers are rarely used in homicides and suicides. Therefore, we must discuss the ineffectiveness of gun control with the facts.
You can find the full report here:

In the Navy
(CDRSAL) No significant recourse for serious security breaches? Does being a female POC save you? I would sense that it does. It’s a good article about the USS Manchester (LCS 14) Gold Crew in 2023, failed leadership at every level, and the command staff’s lack of attention to detail.

More Chinese Espionage
Linda Sun is the former Deputy Chief of Staff to New York Governor Kathy Hochul and a senior staffer for former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo.
The Justice Department has indicted Linda Sun for violating and conspiring to violate the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA), visa fraud, alien smuggling, and money laundering conspiracy. She is alleged to have acted on behalf of the government of the People’s Republic of China (the “PRC”) and the Chinese Communist Party (the “CCP”). Sun’s husband and co-defendant, Chris Hu, was also charged with conspiracy of money laundering, conspiracy to commit bank fraud, and misuse of means of identification.
Some time back, the case of Congressman Eric Swalwell attracted a lot of attention. Christine Fang, or “Fang Fang,” was a reported Chinese intelligence officer who had cozied up to Swalwell, raised money for his campaign, and attended numerous events. She also had an alleged sexual relationship with Swalwell.
A perfunctory ethics investigation was conducted. No action was taken. Swalwell is still in Congress. Fang was determined to have been working with multiple other targets, including Midwestern mayors and at least one other member of Congress. Once her cover was blown, she left the country.
A staffer in Senator Dianne Feinstein’s San Francisco field office reported to Chinese intelligence for many years. The spy was “run” by China’s San Francisco Consulate officials. He was ultimately fired but never prosecuted.
There is nothing unusual about any of this. This is the norm. While Joe Biden was Vice-President, his son Hunter Biden was found to be in touch with a man named Patrick Ho, a senior official with a company called CEFC China Energy. CEFC was known to be part of China’s “elite capture” program. It did not invest money to turn a profit. It invested money to attract and compromise influential foreigners in target countries and bend them to Beijing’s will.
The FBI investigated Ho’s activities. He was arrested, prosecuted, and imprisoned – for bribing African officials on U.S. soil. The FBI investigation established that Ho was pursuing precisely the same course of action as Hunter and strongly suggested that a significant portion of the money from Ho from the Chinese government to Hunter ended up in Joe Biden’s pockets. Even as Joe began his presidential run, the FBI buried the evidence and walked away. When Ho was prosecuted the Department of Justice even went so far as to redact Hunter’s name from documents introduced as evidence in open court.
The modus operandi in all these operations is the same. You do not wait until your target has succeeded and climbed to the top of the heap. You approach them and compromise them when they are most vulnerable while they are still trying to make it. In politics, that means you go local. You go after mayors, state legislators, young Congressmen who aspire to be President and guys who were always the laughing stock of the U.S. Senate but have now come to believe they can wear the crown..
The occasional arrest of a staffer does not begin to address the underlying problem. The Chinese are buying the American “elite” on an industrial scale. Want to know why we won’t push back on the Chinese in Asia, why there are no U.S. aircraft carriers at sea in the Pacific even as Beijing is encircling Taiwan, or why we continue to gut our industrial base and adopt “green” technology that makes us ever more dependent on supplies of rare earth minerals controlled by Beijing?
When the nation’s leadership, including Pedo Joe, is on the Chinese payroll, as has been proven (10% for the Big Guy), the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (Milley) admits to the need to run things that President Trump might do past Beijing; first, it’s no wonder that there is severe dysfunction—which we used to call treason.
Identify the Aircraft
1
The aircraft is a rarely mentioned late WWII prototype intended to replace the TBF Avenger torpedo bomber. It was a large machine, especially for a single-engine and carrier-based aircraft. Power came from a 3,000 hp R-4360 Wasp Major 28-cylinder radial engine. This drove a pair of 14 ft (4.3 meter) wide contra-rotating propellers. It could carry more than four times the payload of an Avenger and fly significantly faster. But it was too big, and by the time it first flew in March 1945, torpedo bombers were quickly becoming a thing of the past. It was canceled, and only two prototypes were built.

As I mentioned last time you reviewed Prescott we spent a pleasant 9 days there in 2002. Ate at a few places in the old downtown. Not sure about The Palace.
Special Olympics – the Spanish mens team was disqualified in men’s basketball after it was found they were using able bodied players at the 2000 Sydney games.
Did the Spaniards self-identify as disabled? If they did, they are! It means that a cruel injustice played out.
Yep, Skypirate. Great name.
IDK, but it’s clearly a wing / radar testbed for something on an airliner. Nose looks kinds F-22 / 35 ish?
One of the Jickey white elephant pretend carriers. IDK which one offhand.
Panzer III… F?

That looks like a weirdly good Western, for the modern world.

Isn’t the test bed called Catbird?
CATBird is based on the 737.

Boeing (pictured) in Washington. Lockheed flying test bed in Texas is now retired. Northrop-Grumman has several smaller birds in the NE US. Raytheon has/had some in Arizona and California. I’m obscuring actual operational location, real sites and duties are up to those who know.
Used to test sensors, radar, avionics, EW packages, “apertures” (low-observable antennas), etc. Packed with electronics, flying test beds really satisfy.
In the Navy…..
JFC! Bending a rule is one thing. Violating security protocols and outright lying multiple times to the C.O. and then altering documents to cover it up. Should be in the brig. Just sent a message it’s OK do it again. The Navy has gone to shit.
Navy times has an Sept 5 article where a Vice and two Rear Admirals are discussing the recent success in Recruiting numbers after years of missing target. It seems if you bring in a higher number of recruits scoring in the bottom 30% of the aptitude tests you can train the dumbass out of them.
Rot at the top and bottom….
The Homesman – Can’t recall if I saw it, looks familiar…may need to re-watch (it WAS 10 years ago, I can’t recall why I went into the garage this morning).
“…that’s why I saved your life.”… “So, 3 crazy woman for 5 weeks, that’s a little more than I bargained for.” Modern version: Man at the counselor’s is asked, “Are you having an affair?”…Man: “Uh, no…I’m having a hard enough time with one, why would I want two?!”

Chinesium Owned Politicians- Pretty sure The Founders would have had this fixed by the next morning. It’s also why The Dem’s are adamantly opposed to a simple voting election process with a proper ID and paper ballots. The Cheatery is rampant. Anyone supporting Kamala is a demented fool (Ok, stating the obvious). Watching YouTube and Vindmann’s face shows up in a commercial: “…please help me win my seat by sending me money” . Really? The next one (clearly injected by YT) was The Magical Mr O supporting his latest installed Dem Pres Not-A-Candidate…gag me with a pitchfork. Nothing but losers without a plan – other than to wreck America.

“Doesn’t matter” – Nuff said.
I went grocery shopping this morn.
A cashier and two baggers attended to me.
I remarked that I liked it when prices were lower. Before Biden….and Harris.
A quick glance around around and then the cashier starts agreeing, after a while not caring who hears her and the two ladies bagging in full agreement with her.
I should shop more often.
I did all the shopping, that sentiment is nearly 100% across the board as they know all too well prices have basically jumped 50% in 3+ years with packaging/product sizes reduced 20-30%. The Value Proportion is what, 40%?
X2
I always bring up the elevated prices every chance I can.
–
I slam the current administration, saying things like “It sure was better under OrangeManBad” and such sentiments.
–
If I get any backlash I point out the prices of things 4 years ago even during the scandemic and they were significantly lower across the board. I also point out what I call ‘soft inflation,’ which is less things on sale and the sales are not as good.
–
If the workers give me any guff, or are talking about how they can’t afford food or housing or have fewer hours, I get to point out to these entitled jackwagons that they and people like them voted overwhelmingly for a higher minimum wage (here in Florida) and medical marijuana (and we get to vote to legalize or not legalize weed come November, fracking druggies.)
–
I also make very negative comments about any worker or shopper wearing masks, let alone wearing full face shields and gloves.

I am a grumpy late-middle-aged fart.

I love you both, man!
I love all y’all, in a non-homo bromance way, of course.

Wish I could quote it properly.
Yup…all of it. They need to be stopped somehow. Not my wheelhouse but it is for some who understand how to combat those who skirt the law and Constitution for their own benefit, setting “things” in place to gain that end.
It’s a rare cold day at the beginning of September that I’d ever disagree with you (and I’m not being a ‘grammarian’) but to me the word “skirt” in this usage has the effect of meaning “to sneak around”: these people (and, for the moment, I’m including them in the human race) have not only openly flouted the laws of this land (and those written clearly in the Bible), but have tried to change those laws to suit their perversions and appoint judges who have no understanding of the language in which our laws are written (nor, for that matter, can distinguish between male and female)
Boron, like we call criminal activity shenanigans….
Psalm 144 says: Blessed be the Lord my Rock, who trains my hands for war, And my fingers for battle.
Clasp those hands and fingers and Let’s pray, Let’s go to war.
Father,
You see the enemy arrayed against us. You are the Lord of Hosts, the Lord of Armies.
Please go before us, protect us and lead us against those who seek to harm and enslave us.
There are people in positions of power and influence who seek to kill, maim and destroy.
They seek to kill babies in the womb, maim children in the name of transgender surgery and destroy our liberty and economy.
Please bring them to a place of repentance, and if they will not repent, please remove them from power and influence.
I really like that Psalm. It’s one of my favorites, too. Thanks for sharing it, Ed. Who are you having on your show tomorrow?

Mark Tapson Masculinity
Should be a good podcast. Looking forward to it.
I was thinking of how to do the illustration in the Parting Shot. If/when it happens, if/when lawsuits are brought, they will again be dismissed by the Democrat or weak-kneed judges on grounds of too late or no standing (how can the residents of a state not have standing?) before the evidence can be presented. That way electoral fraud will have never happened; you don’t need to believe your lying eyes that something fishy occurred that all of the “votes ” were for one candidate/party. Bu-bye America for sure as founded if it isn’t already gone.
But the prayer is that I am wrong and the course correction can be made without watering The Tree of Liberty.
So you’re saying they got to The Turtle early?
USS Manchester: So at no time did the Captain or senior staff take a walk around and notice a pallet with the Starlink strapped down to the deck?!?!?!? For MONTHS!?!?!?
As I’ve said many times, the Navy, Marines, and Air Force have lost their way and are determined to transition themselves into irrelevance. So far it seems the Army hasn’t screwed themselves up that badly…yet.
General Mark Milley, Army Chief of Staff, publically announced that he was in contact with our ENEMIES, the CCP, and that he would warn them if President Trump was prepared to move against them. Benedict Arnold did less.
x1000!
I know about Milley’s treasonous acts, but I was referring to force structure and strategy.
The Army is manpower (or person power) intensive. The USAF and USN (with it’s naval infantry component) are hardware intensive. You’re right, it’s an apples and oranges thing in concept, in delivery, etc.
I thought for sure the wet beaver was going to be a DeHavilland Beaver taking off or landing on some remote lake. Oh well.

Navy.
WTH? I have many relatives that were/are sailors. When we get together there is a lot of s**t talking. What is always there is pride in their service. Where has that gone? One cousin retired as a Master Chief. It pains me to see how it pains him to talk about what is happening to his Navy.
Perhaps what keeps the Army somewhat on course is the Spec 4 mafia. 2nd LT or O6, they will find a way to thwart the incompetent and make their lives unpleasant. Does the Navy have an equivalent?
The Navy and Coast Guard are screwed.
General Mark Milley, Army Chief of Staff, publically announced that he was in contact with our ENEMIES, the CCP, and that he would warn them if President Trump was prepared to move against them. Benedict Arnold did less.
He needs to be shot in the head in front of the Pentagon with every Pentagon staffer and worker watching, along with most of the remaining command-level officers also in attendance and have the execution videoed and sent to every US military post, embassy, consul, station, dirt track, satellite, whatever.
–
Along with any and all personnel that participated and knew about his treason and allowed it to happen.
I had a walk around on the F-22 Bird. It was the very first 757. I don’t recognize the chin. Rear facing antenna cable lengths and geometry were an issue.
JSF uses 737. It is much cheaper to operate. Tom
Reading the Starlink Kerfluffle in the Navy Times, the Captain of the ship was a complete idiot. Same with pretty much every one in the command staff. There were three commanders in charge, the actual captain, the XO and some other one that became the XO after the XO got removed.
–
All involved should be thrown out of the military, at the least, preferably after spending time in military prison. Careers should be destroyed, pensions and perks removed, boots on butts as the aforementioned stupid people get kicked out hard. Preferably over either active volcanoes or just lots of open water.
–
As to the torpedo bomber, surprisingly it wasn’t needed. Why? Because the Navy found that wrapping aerial torpedoes in wood allowed them to accurately drop as high as 4,000 feet up. So no need for a fast moving torpedo bomber. The Navy could swarm the enemy with fighters and launch aerial torpedoes from way out of anti-aircraft fire.
Now we launch from altitude and retard the torpedo’s fall with a parachute (drogue style) to allow for a moderate speed entry. Old NFO knows a lot more about that than I do.
WWII style torpedoes weren’t wire guided or self-guided, so paradropping wouldn’t work well. And the ‘wrap the torp in a crate’ idea came from some smartass enlisted fellow who convinced some pilot and some weapons officer to try it. Can you imagine that happening in today’s Navy? Actually listening to enlisted?

If you don’t want wet beaver you can try for Big Beaver in Troy, Michigan.
Big Beaver Road is Exit #69.
There is a Beaver Crossing, Nebraska. And, no, I don’t know how long that journey will take.
Most people will get on boxcars and knowingly go to their doom before they will admit “their” “leaders” intend them harm. The decision point is after that, where the “supersaturated solution crystallizes” or the “preference cascades” and enough people stop obeying laws that harm them.
.
I fail to see how eliminating the non-producing urban snitches and leaving the farmboys with preps is a winning strategy for cloud people. Imagine the “right to repair” movement after Deere is no longer permitted to pretend they both did and did not sell you the tractor.
Remote viewing… yes it works with a skilled, trained subject. Sometimes more than expected is experienced along the way to the target. To me, that’s actually a more interesting story.
*
LL.. a Panzer III would look good in your garage.

Gold crew on Manchester. A lot going on there still unsaid. Pictures of all involved would help.
If you posit that there are spirit beings in our midst and that some of them are hostile, and that they can communicate amongst themselves and us, I will grant you remote viewing and caution against it.
I have been involved in some weird classified ops but never remote viewing. I know people who were exposed to it and it’s spooky accurate. The Russians were more heavily involved than we were. MKULTRA, etc. may still be going on under another program name for all I know.
If remote viewing worked then people would today be super-rich from secrets they front-ran. Grumble. The only way we discover truth is by pushing reality into a corner and forcing it to reveal how it acts.
I’ve seen enough and know a functional bruha to convince me there is more to the world than just what we can physically touch. I listen to said bruha when she tells me not to go out as she has been way too correct way too many times. And I have also begun to sense the unsensible. It’s weird.
–
And, yes, the bruha is my wife. She can see and feel things that defy explanation. She also attracts ‘little spirits’ that need protection until it’s time for them to go away. No, not kidding. Very serious. When bruha speaks, only the foolish don’t listen.

Too many prophetic dreams. Too many suddenly need to turn here. Too many places that others like and we feel are off in ‘that way.’

And one Marine Recon guy from Vietnam I knew was loved by his teammates because he could ‘see’ into the future and knew where to go and not to go.

So, well, most ESP is bullhookey, but there are enough real examples out there to take it from ‘Nah, bullscat’ to ‘hmmm… curious.’
I live in the area of “Sedona Vortexes” – and it attracts a certain crowd. As with the statements made by Lord High Executioner Beans, that’s not what we’re talking about here.

But what if TJ had kept a “White” woman as a sex slave? Why, then he’d be a monster! But government’s mainstream media, aka TJ, says persons with attributes X are livestock with no civil rights, so behavior Y is just our society’s culture, a protected category. No different from what the Germans did a few years later with the boxcars and the camps, which was completely approved by a supermajority democratic vote. Move along, don’t stop and think.
