Yes, just when you thought that the outrageous behavior of the political left reached its zenith — you realize that human sacrifice and cannibalism as an acceptable practice seems to be coming back, at least in public education in California.
Tomorrow is Easter and I’m somewhat reluctant to share this on the eve of the recollection and celebration of a sacred event, but the daily outrages continue. And lest you think that this is so outrageous that it couldn’t ever happen, I will remind you that there is a wall around the US Capitol, defended by 5,000 troops to protect a walking corpse and a whore who some feel were not lawfully elected. You may not have seen that coming either.
My only surprise is that it took this long for some wackos to propose it. But, hey it’s for the students to “pave the way for the “regeneration of indigenous epistemic and cultural futurity.” So some folks think it’s a good idea to venerate “gods” who demand human sacrifices by the thousands?
(National Review) The Board of Education in California recently voted unanimously to approve an Ethnic Studies Model Curriculum for use in all of the state’s public schools. This curriculum is “probably the most radical, polemical, and ideologically loaded educational document ever offered up for public consideration in the free world. Although including California in the “free world” is becoming more problematic, but that’s another topic.
The curriculum presents the pagan gods of the Aztec empire as worthier objects of study and veneration than Jesus of Nazareth. This presentation does not rest at the level of theory or academic inquiry. As Christopher F. Rufo has observed, teachers are encouraged by the authors of the curriculum to lead their students in an “ethnic studies community chant,” which takes the form of worship offered up to these deities:
Students first clap and chant to the god Tezkatlipoka — whom the Aztecs traditionally worshipped with human sacrifice and cannibalism — asking him for the power to be “warriors” for “social justice.” Next, the students chant to the gods Quetzalcoatl, Huitzilopochtli, and Xipe Totek, seeking “healing epistemologies” and “a revolutionary spirit.” Huitzilopochtli, in particular, is the Aztec deity of war and inspired hundreds of thousands of human sacrifices during Aztec rule. Finally, the chant comes to a climax with a request for “liberation, transformation, [and] decolonization,” after which students shout “Panche beh! Panche beh!” in pursuit of ultimate “critical consciousness.”

Here in Colorado, two mental soy-boy weaklings are working to get a ballot initiative that eliminates traditional animal A.I. practices because “it’s invasive and hurts”. First, that’s BS. Second, they obviously have no idea what they are talking about and probably never stepped in a fresh cow pie. But this will pass because of the stupidity of the mask-wearing General Public, effectively criminalizing the cattle industry and destroying it, putting ranchers out of business. Their backdoor intent. Scary thing is this is being championed by our AH governor’s appointed activist in the state vets office, some doofus chick with zero knowledge of veterinarian medicine and animal husbandry…IN THE STATE VET’s OFFICE!?? I suppose this is so we can all eat non-meat products, forcing that fake soylent crap onto the masses by the backdoor…like the last election and all that ensued before it and now after. God have mercy on the galactically stupid.
BUT, and not to be outdone, CSU vet school is caving to social media pressure and is dropping practical surgery classes for veterinarian students because…you guessed it…such practices “might hurt the subject.” How the friggin’ you-know-what! can a school prepare veterinarians without surgical skills?!!! “First do no harm” is obviously lost on the PhD nimrods now running the place. But, like always, they will justify their naked ply asinine decision with all sorts of fancy tortured logic academia-speak that “this is good and moral and righteous”.
There is something about the mind of a lefty that is so warped I believe they are flatly unable to see the destructiveness of their tortured view of things that calls “good evil and evil good”. They believe they are more moral that you….and no amount of reasoned thought will sway them from their moronic delusion…which the rest of us are forced to partake. And yet, Christ died for them as well, which clearly makes him incredibly more merciful than me.
The two nancy boys certainly sound woke. I’m sure that they are highly educated in the liberal arts, which is today’s science, if you’ve been following (and know that YOU have). Surgery on animals sounds like animal cruelty to me. So does eating meat that is not “vat grown”.
I have never eaten vat grown meat. However with cannibalism coming back into vogue in California, there may be another way to be woke?

When the ignorant activists start messing with my steaks and burgers the gloves come off (hence my more direct tone this morning.) i just read both FencePost articles on what I wrote…my cattle rancher neighbor pointed them out. He’s mid-70’s and is tougher than nails, and still ranching, but ready to hitch up the 5th wheel and hit the road, retire before his life of ranching is ruined while he’s in it. Royally frosts my shorts.

Of course, if you ever point out how hard ‘organic farming’ is to the environment and point out how horrible an infestation of deer or coyotes or wolves or peregrine falcons are to their habitats, the ‘environmentalists’ will ignore all the facts. (Yes, seen peregrine falcons attacking ‘song birds’ and invasive parrots and I find it funny that the enviro-idiots are caught in a pain-loop over ‘Oh, look, pretty falcon’ and ‘OMG, it’s actually eating XYZ.’)
Exactly, with these types always about destroying everything normal…now they aren’t even hiding their agenda.

Oakland isn’t giving away $500 for nothing, that’s just a public bribe with your tax dollars. Some smart person will figure out how to get a few hundred checks sent his way the same way the folks in Minneapolis scammed the city and state out of millions in welfare payments that were sent back home to Somalia.
Are you suggesting that “those people” (a dog whistle for “inner city people”) will be harvesting (and “bundling”) welfare payments the way that they do ballots and other welfare and social security payments?

Ed, I don’t know whether the Conquistador culture was better than the Aztec culture, or which was more brutal. The Aztecs fell because their culture had clearly run its course and was morally bankrupt. All the silver in the world didn’t save Spain from internal collapse.
Did the Catholic Church of Spain and Portugal serve to turn those places (inca/Aztec/Toltec, etc) into modern paradises given the past 400 or so years of blessing?

The people who might be inclined to shoot back are leaving California in droves. The place in Arizona where I now live has a significant number of Californians who fled, “bitterly clinging” to their God and guns.

You know, everyone bitches and moans about the Aztec culture and the Native Americans that the Spanish and other Europeans ‘killed off and destroyed’ but you never hear about the wholescale slaughter of tribes and other cultures by the Aztecs and other Native Americans.
If you believe the numbers being sacrificed daily by the Aztecs, then every day small villages were destroyed. A week is the end of a local ‘country,’ a month is the end of a whole ‘nation.’ A year equals the destruction of a whole mini-empire. A decade, the destruction of so much civilization…

Anything is justified if you’re sufficiently woke.
That curriculum is in direct conflict with the U.S. First Amendment and probably some part of the California constitution of the State imposing religious beliefs. The Leftist don’t want The Lord’s Prayer in school but they want Aztec prayers to their demon gods! There is no defense of this.
To progs, separation of church and state only applies to Christianity. Most state universities have Muslim prayer rooms—essentially, funded by taxpayers.
It is not difficult to understand why people and companies are moving out of California.

I know the Woke leftists are very fond of natives. The only not being natives seem to be white males of European origin. In Europe today immigrants from Somalia arriving at Schipol by airplane being considered a dutch native at arrival.
