2. That's an interesting reality. Then there's the one where LE has to meet transbigay quotas, and police forces are decimated by Jihadists who throw "peace officers" off buildings. "Why do they misunderstand Islam?" they moan, as they plummet to their deaths.

9. When I first started reading this I almost thought you were doing a remake of "Soldier"….

10. I started with the Brave New World concept (A. Huxley) of building a brand of law enforcement that would deal with the scourge of jihadis in America, then I did think of Soldier, the David Webb People concept, so you're on the money there. Since it has to be SHORT by definition for the blog, I did the flash by date thing and tried to pull off a twist that works. It's never up to the writer (whether it 'works' or not). Only the reader can decide.

15. We should re-think how we will deal with radical Islam in America (separate from the plague of Islam elsewhere). I am NOT suggesting that this sci-fi short is a road map. However before we can address the problem we must have a leader who can name the problem. Old Blue Gums can't pull that off.

    I sometimes see the world as a culmination of two sides, there's this and there's the opposite of this.
    The reason it has sustained the balance is probably because none of the two were given the strength to overpower the other. Some countries that saw the over powering interface are still fighting to restore the balance.
    However, I'll keep hoping that we keep the balance intact with all the friction leading to growth.

17. To me anyway, the purpose of science fiction is to raise questions that may spur thought and who knows, may generate answers.
