Caption: Some governments hire their public health officials by the pound. Step on the scale. If you break it, the coveted job is yours.

If you wear a black tent that would shelter a squad of infantry every day, they don’t know how fat you truly are.
Note: All kidding aside, there is value to having role models in leadership positions. “Follow me” is firm ground to stand on. During the Biden regime, we had morons, freaks, and trannies occupying positions of honor, trust, and profit. Idiots like the Luggage Thief, Admiral Dick Levine, and others of that stripe struck the opposite chord. No matter how hard you pretend, it was wrong. Public health leaders should be ‘healthy’ and smart. We all recall the COVID masks – stupid then and stupid now, but mandated by low IQ/high woke to enforce an “obedience” cult that also mandated that the public take experimental injections and boosters that we now know were toxic to many who took them.
Bullet Points:
** Vietnam’s top leader was reappointed as head of the ruling Communist Party after a unanimous vote by its central committee, as he pledged to turbocharge growth in the export-reliant nation. With people less likely to do business with Red China, a lot of CCP money has gone into building factories in Laos, Vietnam, and Cambodia.
** USNI – Given the new threats today and the incessant demand for missiles in large numbers, it is time to revisit the Arsenal Ship in the form of an arsenal barge. Some in the Navy believe the ship should be uncrewed. I couldn’t disagree more. You can have a ‘reduced crew,’ but you need a crew for a number of tasks, including damage control. At the very least, the ship should have defensive weapons such as RAM, SeaChicken, and/or CWIS or Goal Keeper, as well as anti-torpedo countermeasures. I’d argue that it should also carry at least two spare/replacement helicopters for the fleet it’s designed to sail with.
** The British water supply – explained- are you sure that you want to visit recreationally, LSP?
** (Bee) Are you a gender confused freak? Are you too ample to reach down and touch your toes? Are you impossibly stupid – the IQ of a Somali? Are you hideous to look at? Are you crippled or mentally ill? Are you a hopeless slob? The universe may not work for you now, but there is hope in the future.
** What do the Europeans and Canadians have against peace? (left) The Board of Peace has 3-year terms, with a minimum contribution of $1 billion required to secure a permanent seat. Go with the board, scrap the UN (and the expensive infrastructure). It will make the $1 billion buy-in easier to swallow. No diplomatic immunity for the “permanent staff.”
** In Germany. Has the social media message changed?
** Canada’s military is reportedly drafting contingency plans to repel a hypothetical US invasion, including insurgent-style tactics inspired by the Taliban, according to the Globe and Mail. Senior officials told the outlet this marks the first time in a century that Canada has modeled conflict with the United States. The move comes amid worsening relations under Donald Trump, who has floated Canada becoming the “51st state” and overseen aggressive US military actions abroad. Officials cited lessons from Afghanistan, where lightly equipped insurgents exploited intelligence gaps to resist superior US forces.
** The 8th Circuit Court of Appeals paused a Biden-appointed judge’s crazy restraining order that ICE couldn’t detain or arrest “peaceful protesters” or use tear gas on them. That would be perfectly reasonable if the left didn’t define “peaceful protesters” as people who scream in ICE agents’ faces while hitting them with a shovel and trying to run over them with their cars.
** The pursuit of economic suicide.
** Historical Review –
Don Troiani, Historical Artist. Here is a detail from the painting “Breymann’s Redoubt” (painted in 2006). General Benedict Arnold (on horseback, purple sash) leads Continental’s and Morgan’s Riflemen in a successful assault and routs the Brunswick grenadiers. Probably the best field commander in the army at the time, but as everyone knows, he was later an infamous traitor. This print is long sold out. Don Troiani and Eric Schnitzer wrote Campaign to Saratoga-1777, available on Amazon. I have not yet read the book, but the campaign’s history is very interesting.
** Can Alberta declare independence from their Canadian overlords?
** President Trump says 0% income tax could be coming soon, citing strong government revenue. “The money we’re taking in is so enormous, you won’t even have income tax to pay,” he said. That could also apply to Alberta. What a change for the select Canadians!
** Karma. FAFO
** Walsh on slavery. 1.2%… in 1860, 98% of American whites never owned slaves. Put it into perspective when discussing modern calls for reparations.
** (Bee) Aliens arrive at a Texas BBQ.
** Hawai’i has a gun law that violates the Constitution. It argued to the court that because it was once a kingdom, it does not have to obey the Second Amendment. Democrats live in Bizarro America.
** “Investigation launched into Rep. Ilhan Omar’s skyrocketing family wealth. Republicans seek to find out how Omar’s husband’s bank account allegedly went from $42 to $25,000,000.” Nancy played the stock market. The Brother Lover went where the money is—federal social programs.
** Last week, Mexico sent 37 people accused of being criminal cartel operatives to the United States, the latest apparent bid to alleviate pressure from President Trump to do more to combat the powerful groups smuggling drugs across the border. It sent a panic among Mexican politicians who believe that they may be next.
** Wells Fargo read the runes and moved its headquarters from California to Florida as financial firms flee blue states. Founded during the Gold Rush. Moved during the Newsom Bust. And what do the democrat politicians do? They double down on stupid.
** Fox reported, “DHS website traffic surged 68% as thousands use Trump’s self-deportation app for voluntary departure.” I’ll go out on a limb here and suggest that thousands are not enough. Millions is a much rounder figure.

Pick up any European newspaper and read their haughty comments about how most Americans are “obese”. Interesting to note their shining example how our betters blowup the BMI chart.
Since they are your betters, they can be trusted with another apfelkuchen.
I love apfelkuchen. Haven;t had it since my Aunt Edith died, back in the ’90s.
– Kle.
My Oma made the best apfelkuchen mit schlage too.🙂
There’s really nothing better.
I live in Florida. It’s too hot, too moist and too low (air pressure thingy) to properly make many German desserts, like apfelstudel. Seriously, it’s a thing. It’s too hot/moist to make good pumpernickel, too, along with good NYC hard rolls.
–
Publix, the supermarket chain, does a good job trying, but it’s not the same as the real thing.
–
And, no, not talking out of the side of my butt on this one. One of the neighborhood kids, when I was growing up, had a German mom and she loved making strudel. Which she couldn’t do in Satellite Beach, FL, because hot/moist/too close to sea level. Though she could make good spaetzle. Though it was too hot/moist to make good homemade saurkraut.
I’ve found a similar problem with cooking at altitude such as where I live now. Everything must be changed because the boiling point changed radically when I increased my living altitude by 7500 feet.

I’m sensing a particular tone in today’s blog…at what point do people wrest control of their government back from those bent on our demise while feathering their own nests on our backs?
***
When the rhetoric gets so morphed into oblivion that ‘mostly peaceful” also includes biting off the finger of an ICE agent while getting no coverage in the MSM…something like “it was self defense because he pointed it at the protester”. The ever-increasing insanity of the rabble proves they need an entire wing in one of PDJT’s new mental institutions.
***
Health Officials: I laughed when fat out of shape Dem’s screamed “RFKjr isn’t a doctor! He’s not qualified to be HHS director!”. Yeah, we saw what happened under their mentally ill weirdo; proper food is bad but the mystery shot while rebreathing one’s exhale all day was good and safe. Then again, to some guys out there Athika Ahmed might be a total babe and picture of health…to each his own.
***
British Water: If The Motherland had ice makers here’s a ProTip: Brown cubes with frozen floaties is just plain wrong.
The UK isn’t as broke as France, but they’re broke and the most popular baby name is Mohammed so there’s your future.
The question isn’t even why a morbidly obese woman is prattling on about loving your menses under the guise of being a “Health Ambassador”. The question is what is a person called Athika Ahmed, wearing the garb of a foreign and some might say hostile, religion, even DOING in Wales? She’s an “asylum seeker” from Pakistan? And Wales was the first country she was able to get to from Pakistan? Or is it because Wales is still around 90% White, and This Cannot Be Allowed? Most people cannot understand just HOW MUCH the globalist types hate (and fear) you. But they don’t “want you dead”. They need you alive to do the hard work of maintaining a civilization for them; they just want you isolated and terrified.
—
In related news, the UK Government-created cartoon villainess Amelia (she’s against immigration! Why, that little bitch will be looking into purchasing industrial lots of insecticide next!) is failing to teach children that putting your own above foreign invaders is a sin, as was intended. Instead, she’s become a symbol of resistance.
“Oft evil will shall evil mar.”
I saw the Amelia cartoon character. They could be up against a serious revolt if the British hadn’t handed in their arms. Slaves are never armed. They’re waking up to that unpleasant truth.
And now is when the world discovers that the only really dangerous weapon is the mind of a seriously pissed-off white guy. Anything can be used to kill. Rocks, bricks, sticks, bad bangers and mash, anything…
–
Amelia, oh, sweet Amelia, with a choker and her hair. And now Maria in a dirndl. Can’t wait to see what the US versions will be.
–
Of course, I’m wondering if the designers really intended for Amelia to be the bad girl, or was it some secret infiltration of the far-left agenda organization and done purposefully? I mean, yeah, the left is that out-of-touch, but making a cute, good looking cartoon character and making her the big-bad? Really?
Whatever Amelia they design it to be can be copied by others and used in memes and counter-activities. It’s that sort of environment. Whatever they unleash will be turned against them, well outside of their national boundaries and beyond their control.
>making a cute, good looking cartoon character
I think the Legion of Memers made Amelia cute, whereas the original was just a non-obese (and hateful hateful fascist) girl with purple-pink hair. But point taken. I’d LOVE to think this was infiltration and messing Them up from within, but who knows. The far left hates beauty. Hell it hates normal. Then again, not surprising: Consider just one branch of it, Second-Wave radical feminism. Of the Big (ahem) Four, only Steinem looked like a normal person. Friedan and Abzug were squat, hefty, and homely. (The final one, Shulamith Firestone, was neither squatty/obese nor particularly dysmorphic, but she was insane [paranoid schizophrenic] and died a sad, lonely death, with her corpse discovered approximately a month after her demise, due to complaints from neighbors of a bad smell. How sad. What a way to go.) And if one says “well, those are niche examples”, fair enough, then look at the major revolutionaries responsible for the USSR, many of them were homely and weird looking too.
—
There’s a reason the left uses the term “conventionally attractive”. It’s ontological warfare to undermine the very idea of beauty. And I don’t buy the “cultural” argument either where They talk about “[oppressive, patriarchal] Western standards”. In general, markers of (or associated with) youth and fecundity are synonymous with beauty across cultures: this means symmetry of face and body, being relatively slim, and having waist-hip ratio in a certain range. In other words, attractive is attractive across cultures (apart from some very isolated groups that prize, say steatopygia; but these groups tend to be spear-chucking, grub rooting, pre-literates who may be anthropologically interesting, but not to be taken as a guide to aesthetics and moral philosophy).
—
>Can’t wait to see what the US versions will be.
Me neither. Let’s see if the aesthetics of normal people prevail, in which case maybe “Becky” or “Kate” will look like Amelia’s or Maria’s cousin. If the aesthetics of current-day Hollywood prevail, it’ll be a squatty Indio with an Aztec name, or an obese lesbian negress. Or maybe a cross-dressing twink male. (Have you SEEN the characters on that Starfleet Academy show? Bozhemoi.)
Re: Benedict Arnold. He was a brilliant commander, at least before he defected. He is credited with a brilliant defense at Saratoga, blunting the British attempt to invade from the north. I have read and re-read Benedict Arnold’s Army, the story of his attempt to conquer Canada in 1775. He drove men through Northern Maine (no roads, no trails) in October and November, trying to reach Quebec City. Much of the route was through endless swamps. In some places there was no dry ground, so the men slept standing up, leaning against trees. It rained a lot, and snowed, on troops in the open. The guts and determination are impressive. My understanding is that the political nature of the Continental Congress denied him the recognition and promotion he deserved, which caused him to switch side.
That and he was wounded in combat and suffered from the wound during the time he turned coat. I don’t know what part the physical decline played in his treachery but he had a massive ego. Arnold’s ego would tell Trump’s – “Hold my beer” – and that never ends well.
Some years back hubby and I went to the community center to vote. When we finished there was a lady that had to weigh 250 pounds wanting to teach me how to eat healthy. I weighed 140 pounds and didn’t have an ounce of fat on me. I couldn’t even respond to her. I couldn’t believe she had the guts to say what she did.
Have a fabulous day and week. :)
Today a woman who is 5′ and 250 soaking wet is considered “body positive” – Sports Illustrated did swimsuit editions on obese ladies lumbering around. I am not cracking on people who are overweight. But it’s not healthy. It’s like telling me that breathing through a tiny piece of fabric made in China will keep me from dying.
>I couldn’t believe she had the guts to say what she did.
Hahaha! She apparently had plenty of guts to spare.
#tishboom
Seriously, the lack of self-awareness is astonishing. For a person of 250 lbs to have a normal-range body mass index, she’d have to be SEVEN feet tall. Sure, a guy in a wheelchair might be capable of being a great track coach, but an obese diet counsellor is not a good look for credibility, generally speaking. Yeesh.

Now of course BMI has many limitations, but it’s an adequate general guide. I’m amused (when not frustrated) by the arguments of “really muscular people have high BMI”. True, but for the vast majority of Americans, high BMI is because of adiposity, not muscularity. Just had a flashback to a guy in my medical school class, a black guy who always wore a porkpie hat and would routinely interrupt the lecturer (in an auditorium of over 150 students, yet) with a loud “Now hol’ on, I don’ unnerstan!” And Not. Let. It. Go. until he’d asked several minutes of mostly stupid questions [1]. Most of the class would cheer him on when he made these outbursts, for some reason. Anyway, this guy, Derrick, (because of course he was) burst out with “Hey! BMI says I’m obese!” There was some placating, weasel-worded discussion from the lecturer and then Derrick, playing to the crowd, proudly announced, “I got 20-inch arms, man!” I’d had enough of his bullshit interruptions and said, “And what’s the difference between flexed and at rest then?” (A 20-inch arm could simply be a fat arm.) This did not go over well. Though it was interesting to see who understood the question/insult. Hmm. Hadn’t thought about Derrick in literally over a decade. I didn’t miss him, come to think of it.
—
[1] at least half the time I (MC) dinnt unnerstan what was going on either, but I done figgerd it was because I didn’t do the reading beforehand. I wasn’t going to interrupt the lecture because I was slow. Sheesh. The entitlement of some people.
Arsenal ships DO need to be manned. If you have to reload, it’s not an automated process. Just sayin…
They want to build self-licking ice cream cones.
There needs to be some sort of other-than-big-missile defenses. Put a remote 76mm autoloader or two, or, even better, an automatic 5″ and a couple 76mm autoloaders. Gonna arsenal? Arsenal with some guns.
–
And, yes, a variety of other weapon systems.
–
And a crew. Automation can take care of a lot of things (you don’t need a missile striker to actually light the fuse of the missiles anymore) but there does need to be crew. Someone has to fight damage control. Someone has to repel boarders. And can it really be a Navy ship without a COB and a cook to make the COB’s coffee? Heck, some Marines just for the fun of it. And if you have a COB then you have to have crew for the COB to, well, COB. And that means officers for the COB to look down upon or to answer to. Thus, yes, actual physical people on the arsenal ship.
–
LL’s idea of a flight deck to handle helos and the Osprey COD and as a temp landing place for an F-35 and the AS carrying spare equipment makes sense. A big hulled arsenal ship is going to have some spare room, even after you add all the guns and other weapon systems.
X2
They also need to be big enough to keep up with the fleet units in a seaway.
We learned that lesson with the early destroyers, and now all the “robot ships”
types have forgotten it all over again.

Alberta Independence
Less than one month of collecting signatures, the organizers have collected 40,000+ of the 177,000 they need. The chances of successful negotiations seem to be zero. The only certainty is screams of PDJT interference in Canadian internal affairs. The only need to invade Canada is to eradicate the China cancers. Likely many Canadians would welcome that.
Oh, and promise to raise the speed limits. 62 mph is stupid.
I don’t see the US invading Canada to save Alberta. They need to chart their own path. Canada has a dark future economically if Alberta leaves and goes on the US dollar. The Canadian dollar will lose 50% of its value the next day.
It looks like Albertans will meet the signatures needed within the next two weeks or so. And as long as Alberta doesn’t physically, using arms, separate itself from the rest of Canada, then the US can support it morally and economically.
–
Alberta needs to GTFO. And Sasquatcheon needs to follow. Both of those provinces have been supporting the leftists on the eastern side for far too long.
They’ll get the signatures to put the matter on the ballot in September – then we’ll see.
Alberta independence.
I suspect it won’t matter much – I see a new “North American Confederation” or some such in the relatively near future. The US won’t let China turn Canada into another Hong Kong. “From sea to shining sea” will mean Attu to Nordostrundingen.
Canada is pretty far gone in the whole. Alberta and much of the West is still intact (excluding Vancouver BC). There is cartel activity there and the army of Chinese operatives operating from Vancouver but the East (Ottawa) is not something anyone would want in terms of population and Quebec has always wanted to go its own way. I have read that Newfoundland wants to join the Alberta Confederation.
Aliens arrive at a Texas BBQ.
I actually found that sadder than funny.
It’s pathetic because it’s accurate.
They accidentally drove past Austin, which is now more like Boulder, CO, than Texas.
Austin is the San Francisco of Texas.
The whole series is worth watching. Sad, in many ways, but worth it. Watching the dude’s face in Buccee’s is priceless.
The UN needs to be gotten rid of. A Somali in charge of the whole shebang? Seriously? Kill it, preferably with fire.

The new organization with a buy-in requirement? An excellent idea.
