Phased Array Radar Qadir (Persian: رادار آرایه فازی قدیر) is an Iranian radar with a range of 1,100 km and capable of tracking targets to an altitude of 300 km. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps unveiled the radar. According to official military sources, the radar can detect air targets, stealth aircraft (Stiles), cruise and ballistic missiles, and low-orbit (LEO) satellites. I have other vehicles that don’t speak to anyone. I’m willing to pay for reliability, and that means Honda or Toyota to me. I also put a lot of miles on a car, and I want something that is a ten in comfort, and the Honda delivers. A new item out at Fox News reveals that state governor Maura Healey’s administration is on track to spend more than one billion dollars on its “Emergency Assistance” program, which largely services illegal migrants, just in Fiscal Year 2025. Here’s the story: The costs work out at about $3,496 per week per family, or around $1,000 per person per week for the program, known as the Emergency Assistance (EA) system.
The state categorizes illegal aliens as “Massachusetts residents” for the sake of eligibility. This, from an article at NBC:

Medicare is funded (allegedly) through insurance payments from payroll, and then once you qualify to collect, you still make payments into the system. So, while it’s healthcare, it’s a different category than Medicaid (welfare), which is a direct payment from the Federal Government. I’m not qualified to dive deeply into the medical billing morass, but I think that’s the difference. There are also rural hospital financial subsidies, subsidies that go to inner city programs, etc. that come out of different pockets. It’s welfare.

Agreed 100% – the pass-throughs (with a healthy dose of Ponzi added in) of Social Security and Medicare should balance for the most part and should be accounted for differently on the diagram. Defense spending results in tax revenue when it’s spent in the US, so the “spending” isn’t all spent. As with other government spending, it’s often conflated as “welfare for the middle class.” Agree or disagree, it benefits a different segment of society, and a portion of it ultimately becomes tax revenue. Likewise, gasoline and auto registration taxes (along with other taxes, such as aircraft departure taxes for commercial aviation) should be passed through to transportation.

LL, depending on their year group for many veterans, retired pay is really withheld backpay. It is not retirement as we think of retirement programs. For newer year groups, that may not be the same; however, I haven’t taken the time to look that up.
Title 10 details how each service chief is to set aside a portion of his budget to pay for all of the various categories of retired military personal. It all goes into a big pot and is parsed out as needed.
