On that Friday, following his arrest, Jesus was taken to the house of Annas, the father-in-law of the high priest, Caiaphas. He was interrogated, bound, and sent to Caiaphas, where the Sanhedrin had assembled.
Conflicting testimony against Jesus was brought forth by many witnesses, to which Jesus answered nothing. Finally, the high priest adjured Jesus to respond under solemn oath, saying, “I adjure you, by the Living God, to tell us, are you the Anointed One, the Son of God?” Jesus testified ambiguously, “You have said it, and in time you will see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of the Almighty, coming on the clouds of Heaven.” The high priest condemned Jesus for blasphemy, and the Sanhedrin concurred with a sentence of death.
In the morning, the whole assembly brought Jesus to Pontius Pilate, the Roman governor, under charges of subverting the nation, opposing taxes to Caesar, and claiming to be a king. Pilate authorized the Jewish leaders to judge Jesus according to their law and execute a sentence; however, the Jewish leaders replied that they were not allowed by the Romans to carry out a sentence of death, and they wanted Jesus dead.
Pilate questioned Jesus and told the assembly there was no basis for sentencing. Upon learning that Jesus was from Galilee, Pilate referred the case to Herod Antipas, the ruler of Galilee, who was in Jerusalem for the Passover Feast. Herod questioned Jesus but received no answer; Herod sent Jesus back to Pilate. Pilate told the assembly that neither he nor Herod found Jesus to be guilty; Pilate resolved to have Jesus whipped and released. Under the guidance of the chief priests, the crowd asked for Barabbas, who had been imprisoned for committing murder during an insurrection. Pilate asked what they would have him do with Jesus, and they demanded, “Crucify him.” Pilate’s wife had seen Jesus in a dream earlier that day, and she forewarned Pilate to “have nothing to do with this righteous man.” Pilate had Jesus flogged and then brought him out to the crowd to release him. The chief priests informed Pilate of a new charge, demanding Jesus be sentenced to death “because he claimed to be God’s son.” Pilate brought Jesus back inside the palace and demanded to know where he came from.
Coming before the crowd one last time, Pilate declared Jesus innocent and washed his hands in water to show he had no part in this condemnation. Nevertheless, Pilate handed Jesus over to be crucified to forestall a riot. The sentence written was “Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews.” Jesus carried his cross to the site of execution (assisted by Simon of Cyrene), called the “place of the Skull”, or “Golgotha” in Hebrew and in Latin “Calvary”. There, he was crucified along with two criminals who had violated Roman law by fomenting insurrection.
Jesus agonized on the cross for three hours, from noon to 3 pm. With a loud cry, Jesus gave up his spirit. Joseph of Arimathea, a member of the Sanhedrin and a secret follower of Jesus who had not consented to his condemnation, went to Pilate to request the body of Jesus. Another secret follower of Jesus and member of the Sanhedrin named Nicodemus brought about a hundred-pound weight mixture of spices and helped wrap the body of Jesus. Pilate asked for confirmation from the centurion on the execution detail that Jesus was dead. A soldier pierced the side of Jesus with a lance, causing blood and water to flow out, and the centurion informed Pilate that Jesus was dead.
Joseph of Arimathea took Jesus’s body, wrapped it in a clean linen shroud, and placed it in his new tomb, which had been carved in the rock in a garden near the site of the crucifixion. Nicodemus also brought 75 pounds of myrrh and aloes and placed them in the linen with the body, in keeping with Jewish burial customs. They rolled a large rock over the entrance of the tomb. Then they returned home and rested because Shabbat had begun at sunset.
Getaway Friday and Good Friday are not (necessarily) the same thing.

Bullet Points:
** No more warning shots? Okay. I’m cool with that. Waste not, want not. However, as I type this, two cow elk are hanging out at the dining room window. If they have a vote (and I don’t say they do), they’d vote for a warning shot and a slow ten count.
** Is Alberta, Canada, on the pathway to separation?
** Love is a battlefield. Chubby 6 with a good personality…
** The arrested FBI agent, who had publicly alleged Trump ally Rudy Giuliani may have been compromised by Russia and who had denied the FBI had mishandled its investigation of Hunter Biden, is now represented by a law firm that defended Joe Biden’s son.
The agent, Johnathan Buma, who had handled confidential human sources (CHSs) for the bureau and whose home had been raided by the FBI back in 2023, was arrested at JFK Airport in New York City in March for the alleged illegal disclosure of confidential information. He is being prosecuted in California, where he was based as an FBI agent.
Buma, whose previous claims to Congress and the media alleged that he was involved with helping special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into debunked claims of Trump-Russia collusion and who has repeatedly taken aim at Giuliani while defending the bureau’s slow walking of the Hunter Biden investigation, is now being defended by a high-profile law firm that defended Joe Biden’s son and attacked the federal investigation into him.
** How many climate hoaxes do you have to swallow before you become a bit sceptical about all of them?
** Think long and hard about this one. Leftists donated $430K to the incarcerated murderer.
** Escargot the night before the big game? British tennis star Harriet Dart was heard pleading with the chair umpire to make her French opponent, Lois Boisson, wear deodorant. “Can you tell her to wear deodorant … Because she smells awful.”
** A trans-racial Chinese Law Student visits a comedy club.
** Newsom just asked for a $2.8 billion bailout for Medicaid for illegals, and California is facing a homeless crisis.
** If President Trump’s tariffs can cause a worldwide recession, then that means that they’ve been living off American tax dollars. Think about it. The leftists who have raped the country three ways from Sunday are rich. They’re welcome to feed the world if they want to dip into their personal fortunes to make it happen.
** Deportation Order – what does it mean? How does it differ from a Withholding Order? There is a lot of grief on the left because of propaganda. Miller sets the record straight.
The Old Slava Class Ship Killer
The Russian military announced the launch of a series of military exercises near the Norwegian border, drawing the attention of regional observers. The 186-meter-long, forty-three-year-old, Russian cruiser Marshal Ustinov fired its AK-130 artillery system at land-based targets on the Rybachii Peninsula, located on the Barents Sea coast. This training area is located approximately 30 kilometers from the Russia-Norway land border and about 20 kilometers from the maritime boundary that separates the two countries.

In early March 2025, Marshal Ustinov participated in similar drills in the same area, involving artillery fire, missile launches, and torpedo exercises (Picture source: Russian MoD)
According to the Northern Fleet, all targets were successfully hit during the exercise. The military activity scheduled for the week is not limited to artillery fire: Marshal Ustinov will also conduct anti-submarine warfare drills, air defense, and counter-drone operations. Several types of missiles are expected to be launched as part of the training in the Barents Sea. The Ukrainians sank its sister ship, Moskva, in the Black Sea. You may recall the event. While I do not doubt that the Slava Class still has teeth, they’re a little worn and blunted these days. Still, all the Russians have by way of capital ships can menace NATO.
The Russian defense industries are now on a war footing and will remain so for some time to come, aiming to replace their aging, decrepit surface fleet, as well as their number of tanks and armored fighting vehicles (AFVs). They can produce 250,000 artillery shells per month and are working to replace the losses suffered in Ukraine. They cannot replace the cream of their army and naval infantry that were lost during the Ukraine war. Russia can’t replace its numbers, even though it pays single women to have and raise children (fertilized in vitro by selected genetically superior Russian men). North Korean sellswords are always available as cannon fodder, I guess.
The men who rule Afghanistan now have no intention of living in peace and minding their own business. They are in the business of jihad. They are in the business of world domination. They seek to overthrow the government in Islamabad. They aim to take control of one of the world’s largest nuclear arsenals. They are making serious progress toward that goal.
Throughout the regions of Pakistan bordering Afghanistan, Pakistani Taliban – Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militants are attacking installations of the Pakistani security services. They are aided and abetted in their efforts by both the Afghan Taliban and Al-Qaida, which are embedded in the Kabul government and operating camps throughout Afghanistan. The TTP routinely threatens to bring the war to Pakistan’s capital, Islamabad.
TTP fighters now carry the American-made M-4 as their standard rifle. They also have American night vision equipment.
“Just after the Taliban takeover, the latest night-vision devices were sold at a scrap rate,” Raz Muhammad, 60, a Pakistani weapons trader, was quoted as saying. Around August 2021, he estimated that the devices, which retail for about $2,000, were being sold for less than $300. Insurgents have paired night vision and thermal equipment with small drones to attack troops with more precision, said Zaheer Hassan, a major in the Pakistani army.
Earlier this year, TTP militants captured 18 employees of the Pakistani Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) at a uranium mining installation in the Dera Ismail Khan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. They held the engineers in custody and released a video of them to the press. While the individuals were not directly involved in the development or storage of nuclear weapons, their targeting suggests the TTP may be focused on acquiring atomic material. At a minimum, it demonstrates the TTP’s ability to target even employees of highly secure government agencies.
Only days ago, Pakistan’s Intelligence Bureau (IB) announced it had foiled a TTP plot to attack Masroor Airbase in Karachi, a critical hub of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF). Authorities arrested nine members of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), including five Afghan nationals, at a residence near the base. The plot had reportedly been in motion for thirteen months.
This was not a couple of guys thinking about doing something or a handful of individuals taking potshots at a guard tower. This was a long-term, well-organized effort to penetrate the defenses of one of Pakistan’s most secure installations.
Masroor Airbase is Pakistan’s largest airbase. It is also known to be a location from which the Pakistanis would launch aircraft carrying nuclear weapons in the event of war. It is located only 5 kilometers from a suspected underground nuclear weapons storage site.
Over the last decade, an underground storage facility has been constructed within the high-security portion of Masroor. Experts have suggested that this facility is an underground nuclear weapons storage and handling facility. If so, this indicates the planned attack on Masroor may have aimed to seize control of atomic weapons.
Picture a medieval town nestled within the scar of a 15-million-year-old meteorite impact—welcome to Nördlingen, a village in the Donau-Ries district, in Swabia, Bavaria, Germany.
It’s built from suevite, a rare rock forged in the fiery aftermath of the Ries Crater. Towering over the town is St. George’s Church, a majestic structure crafted from this unique stone, which surprisingly contains tiny diamonds formed under extreme pressure.
The Ries impact crater was a rampart crater, a unique finding on Earth. Rampart craters have almost exclusively been found on Mars. After the meteorite’s impact, rampart craters exhibit a fluidized ejecta flow, most simply compared to a bullet fired into mud, with the ejecta resembling a mudflow.
As you stroll through the ancient walls, few realize they tread upon remnants of cosmic chaos, cleverly repurposed into the fabric of everyday life centuries later.
Are they safe from another impact?

I used to carry this in the undercover car as a duty weapon. The bullpup design worked well if you planned to fire the shotgun from the window at point-blank range—a surprise for somebody in the ghetto who walked up on the car and wanted to chat. 12 ga #4 buck shot high brass magnum load (28 pellets per round).

Very good – yes – vintage.
” No more warning shots?”
I have a similar sign on my stockade fence.
.
I have a 12 gauge bullpup. https://escortshotgunsusa.com/product/escort-bulltac/
Sweet, but try to avoid the tendency to cheek weld. I’m putting a laser on it.
After that Bullpup I bought came out, they came out with the mag fed version…..https://escortshotgunsusa.com/product/escort-bulltac-mag-fed/
Escort buĺlpup; sure are reasonably priced. Mag fed = quick reload, true?
¿ elbow crook of the arm ? Vs secure shoulder position? I’m thinking, oh I’d be sore after 5 rounds. Considering the 20 gauge. I know it’s more expensive unless i get into reloading. Just wanna stock the same as the Winchester semi…house gift.

April is Gun month. Just saying. Today, met the Judge, ( just got to see another friends 6″ today. Snake shot’s an essential out here in the big country. )
… and my co workers Kimbler 1911, (magnet mount under the dash for self defense.) Earlier this week. What’s next?
Firing from the shoulder makes you want to aim with cheek weld. Hurts the face more than the shoulder :)
Firing it from a car in a seated position, put the stock into the crook of your arm and fire (with a laser sight) in that way. It manages recoil and allows you to fight the weapon more efficiently. If you do this, you need to practice shooting that way.
Thank you for posting on the Crucifixion. I don’t like to pimp my blog, but I’d like to encourage anyone interested in reading https://ed-bonderenka.blogspot.com/2025/04/whats-so-good-about-good-friday.html.
Take a minute and head to Ed’s and read his post…a terrific adder to LL’s Good Friday excerpt.
Thanks for the link!

Who authorized giving non-citizens SSA numbers? This has to be a prosecutable federal offense, and the timeline points directly to Biden and his Handlers. But who will pay the price? Hopefully PDJT’s A-Team folks charged with digging into the layered graft will make the determination beyond “payments wrongly made” to actually rooting out the perpetrators. I want it all back.

“Good” Friday: This morning we read that excerpt out loud…powerful.
As a semi-learned Catholic (stated purely for reference, other “brands” have a similar take), and for a lot of my life, Pontius Pilate was the primary bad guy in this necessary spiritual battle saga (the washing of his hands action). I never realized Pilate deemed Jesus innocent three times(!) and yet the Jewish “leadership”, who were guilty of projecting onto Jesus what they were actually doing/guilty of, were unsatisfied so continued to press the issue (yes, it was ordained by God as necessary…but still). I also came to realize the “Give Us Barabbas” rabble (similar to our “BLM/Occupy Wall Street/Antifa/Tesla Crazies) were hand selected actors to gain the desired result the Jewish religious leadership demanded while – in their mind – giving themselves deniability to keep their stained consciences clear, and their own hands, clean. Always more to the story than the CliffNotes version when taken in the context and understanding of the time. Imagine…for a moment…being Jesus standing their stoic in his ‘mission’ to save those who choose Him. Unfathomable…but it happened. I am duly humbled to my soul (as it should be).
👍
Careful, Paul. Pilate is Evil, and it’s All his (note lower case) Fault. End of Story.
That’s agreed-upon Truth and merely questioning it [1], even in the privacy of your own head [2], is Hate Think. Questioning it is Revisionism. Revisionism is as bad as Denial, which is a Hate Crime. So I beg of you, please turn around now. Do NOT take even one more step down this road.
In other, totally unrelated news, it’s no accident that Sigmund Freud is the one who formalized the concept of psychological Projection.

In completely non-sarcastic news, I’ll say this now so no one else has to: Considering who we’re talking about, it is important to distinguish between the Sanhedrin at that time and Jews in general, then or now. (Which is why I appreciate your use of quotation marks. You get it.) To generalize from Sanhedrin-at-the-time-of-Jesus (or apparently “the mob” for that matter) to any or all Jewish person(s) today is entirely wrong from a logical standpoint, and a moral standpoint [3]. (The whole “Christ killer” thing is not only immoral, it’s also tactically, and strategically, stupid. Idiots.)

[1] Funny thing is that “Pilate […] washed his hands in water to show he had no part in this condemnation” was how I always interpreted the situation. I never understood the Pilate-hatred for that reason. If anything, Pilate’s story is a lesson on the problems with “respecting local cultures”. Puts me in mind of the great quote from Napier on the topic of suttee: “This burning of widows is your custom; prepare the funeral pile. But my nation has also a custom. When men burn women alive we hang them.”
[2] in the privacy of your own head: Remember the UK vet who was arrested for bowing his head in silent prayer outside the Bournemouth abortion clinic?
[3] Why, it’s as foolish and evil as thinking that an ethnic German born today should be punished for Nazism, or that a white American, of age say 20, should be punished for antebellum slavery. What kind of vile creature; what kind of moral leper; what kind of logic-chopping, gutter lawyering, guilt-farming shitbag could possibly think such a thing?
The Romans were organized. Pontius Pilate, as the Roman Prefect of Judea, answered to the Roman legate of Syria, specifically Lucius Vitellius. Vitellius answered directly to the Senate for affairs in the Syrian Region that he governed (essentially the Middle East). Pilate had a small force of regular troops who were backed by Auxilliary troops (not as well armed or trained). His mandate was to keep peace with the Jews and to counsel with the Sanhedrin (Jewish religious legislature). It was not the easiest of jobs. He spent most of his time in Caesaria (on the coast) and let the Jews manage political affairs in Jerusalem. Almost all crimes were under the jurisdiction of the Sanhedrin. Insurrection was a crime against Rome (which is why the two others crucified with Jesus were not “thieves” because it was a local crime). Crimes against Rome were punished in the Roman fashion by specially trained torture units that flogged, crucified, etc. Crucifixion was a Roman punishment not a Jewish method of execution.
Right on.
Jerusalem at the time was ruled by the Herod crime family and Caiaphas and his family were a part of it.
They saw Jesus as a threat, especially after he attacked their “selling in the Temple” racket.
The general population was supportive of Jesus and confused by His arrest and death.
As were his closest friends.
Exactly!!!
Love the commentary Mike…we are a fickle lot, us humans. Jesus says I am the way and the life, yet modern “enlightened” man (some, not all of course) tries every which way to subvert his Message, morph it into what it is not, or endlessly argue secondary biblical tenets or basics…so they don’t have to look inward or “do the necessary work”. Jesus was real…and THE ONLY ONE put to death for us, then…again, THE ONLY ONE…who rose again. Only one…ever. Yet facts be damned for some, can’t get past the intellect and look to the heart. A worthwhile watch is Shawn Ryan’s interview with Lee Strobel, covers it all for one mans skeptical journey to the faith, where he touches upon Christ’s sacrifice and redeeming power. Undeniable.
(Okay, sermon over)
Your federal government issued SSNs to illegal aliens. Nobody will pay the price. Hopefully those numbers will be canceled.
“My” federal government issued them, but the issuers were individuals. Somebody must pay.
.
It’s funny, we are rightly irked at a large government, but I’m concerned we don’t have enough federal law enforcement types to bring the Swamp to justice.
“Why hasn’t (Bondi, Patel, Bongino) (arrested someone, published redacted documents, etc.) yet?”
Priorities?
Read a bit on this and heard Levin discussing the “why hasn’t something happened yet” question. Simple answer: It takes time to put indictments together, often months if not a year once the facts about a particular case are discovered and cataloged. Makes sense. PDJT and Team are moving at the fastest ever for an administration (excellent of course), but these legal battles are a lot slower…even if we are impatient considering not one person has ever seen the inside of a jail cell, save for people wandering around the Capital or expressing their disagreement with pedophilia as a requirement at a School Board meeting.
Bondi, Patel, Bongino etc are not running the same program as…say..Homan. However, if nothing happens by year end then we’ll know something is afoot or amiss.

Deportation Order – Withholding Order. But, but, when we got our orders on what questions to ask, we weren’t told to do any studying. You expect us to be, like, real journalists? Why didn’t you say so. Mr. Soros?

I listened to Clay & Buck today. A Texas attorney chimed in about civil suits and bankruptcy protections under Texas law. The family of the victim will find it difficult to get anything from the family of the soon to be indicted son. The attorney said that the family was being advised to buy a car and house to prevent assets forfeited.

A pox on those advising donations (by the lunatic Left sure, but donations nonetheless) to hide the cash inside assets…what judge could look at that timing and say, “That’s okay.”? Getting weirder out there by the minute, certainly a mutli-tiered law system that affords little justice to the obvious criminals while beating the pulp out of the good and righteous using specious argument.
Just one comment on the Slava- They were a PITA to classify off ECM. SO many radars, but those SA6s were GREAT radar returns!
You talk like you have some experience there…
