MAGA – For the Win!

I realize that the win may not be too big to steal. Still, all indications point to a Trump 47 presidency, including down-ticket victories that will propel the Republican Party into the majority held in the House and Senate. He had majorities in Trump 45, but the Republicans fought his mandate from the voters because he wasn’t one of them. Today, Laura Trump is Co-Chair of the Republican National Committee. This explains in part why the Bush family urges you to “Go with the Ho.” rather than with Pres. Trump.
When you look at the picture above, you don’t see conservatives. Pres. Trump, Sen. Vance, RFKjr, Elon Musk, and Tulsi wouldn’t pass any conservative litmus test. There has been a tectonic shift from your daddy’s Republican Party. A Trump presidency will change government institutions like the FBI and CIA and how the US State and Defense Departments operate – likely forever. There will still be a Swamp (permanent Washington DC establishment), but even that will look different.
Firearms Ownership by Gender
Historically, men have always owned firearms at higher rates than women. However, in 2024, women are catching up. Ammo.com’s latest publication examines the fastest-growing demographic of gun owners and gun ownership by gender trends over time.
Here are some of the highlights from their findings:
- In 2024, 40% of men own firearms.
- In 2024, 25% of women own firearms.
- Male support for gun ownership has increased by 30% since 2001, while female support for gun ownership has decreased by 8%.
Gun ownership in America is much more prominent than in other countries. However, their findings show that men are less likely to own guns, while more women are more likely. https://ammo.com/articles/gun-ownership-by-gender
Advancing Tilt-Rotor Tech into the Naval Line-Up
The Army recently began a program known as the “Future Long Range Assault Aircraft,” or FLRAA, with the aim of fielding a fast, long-range aircraft that could move people or cargo. They selected a Bell tilt-rotor aircraft modeled on their V-280 Valor technology demonstrator.
The FLRAA airframe could accommodate mission computers and operators in its cargo bay and employ conformal sensors or podded applications. The reported speed of the FLRAA aircraft (over 250 knots) means it can get on station quickly and remain there for extended periods at AEW mission-relevant altitudes. Some modifications may be needed to the engines to achieve efficient operation at 20,000 feet or so, but that is not insurmountable. Such a capability would add to the existing fleet ISR and help turn the Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) into a hunter-killer formation if the Navy made wise investments in expeditionary anti-ship missiles and launchers for its amphibious ships.

Women who own and carry guns really need to get their numbers up in todays world.25% is a good start.
Yes! And women are the most likely victims in many situations. They need to carry and be trained. There are two kinds of people – trained and victims.
Ayup. That’s why I’m going to be giving up a few Sunday afternoons worth of peace and quiet: a friend finally admitted to me she’s too embarrassed at how badly she shoots to let the highly skilled gentlemen of our acquaintance see her fail. Never mind that most of them would limp across broken glass to help her get better, alas, you can’t logic people out of feelings.
.
So instead, I complained to her at how badly I, too, suck at the range, and she perked right up and suggested we go forth and suck together. In her mind, she’s doing me a favour by getting me out of my hobbit hole… ah, house… and actually to the range. I am quite amenable to letting her go on thinking that, if it gets her to *actually practice* and then *feel* she’s skilled enough to *actually carry.*
.
My Calmer Half is not just a willing accomplice in this: he says “I love you” by cleaning my guns.
That’s love all right!
Sounds a bit like our household!

Our local Sportsmen’s Club has Women on Target annually where we spend a day coaching women on pistols and rifles.
I was honored to be asked to coach this year.
The women all did well and were excited at how well they did.
Then my wife asked why I didn’t coach her like that…..
Ahahaha! THAT both made me laugh and triggered PTSD.

Outstanding!
RE: MAGA – For the Win! They are not Conservatives but they are Americans. Perhaps we should rebrand “Conservative” as “American Party”. As you noted we gave Trump the House and Senate but those bastards fought him tooth and nail. I believe Americans are willing to give him both houses but they better be willing to work together, otherwise mid-terms will be the (deserved) end of the Republicans.
And Mel Brooks is a fricking GOAT. (The Producers FTW!)
X2
It’s Trump vs the Uniparty, then & now.

Thing about MAGAites is they, unlike the legacy Republican Party, actually want and actively work to reduce the size and scope of the federal government. And they believe in the Constitution and the Rule of Law, and not the Rule of Regulation and Dictat.
–
Too bad others have ruined the ‘Constitutionalist’ title.
Yes, there is no will actually to reduce the size of government nor to make it responsive to the will of the people on the part of legacy Republicans, which is why I left the party and registered as an independent. The legacy Republicans hated the Tea Party. And by that I mean the actual Tea Party, not what it became three or four years later when they hijacked the title. Those of you who read this blog at the time will recall that I was there when we had a rally of 10,000+ next to Harry Reid’s house at Searchlight, NV. I parked my Toyota FJ within 30′ of Breitbart’s RV and rubbed shoulders with all of them, and there was no elitism involved. You can read the reports from that time in this blog’s archives.
VDH-
Everything said in that video is true. I’m not sure if any of you saw the video at Ethel Kennedy’s funeral of Barack Hussein Obama and Pedo Joe having what looks to be a conversation about the Ho and what to do with her next, but it’s very telling of what we already knew. If you watch the video clip you’ll see Obama being very dismissive of Pedo Joe and slick Willie trying to listen in. Obamination and the deep state have been pulling the strings on the administration in the shadows for four years now. Actually they haven’t been to discreet about it at all. I think they’ve pushed the envelope too far with certain voting classes and they’re going to find out who really holds the power come November 5th.

I pray….
How’s Paul Ryan doing these days? Still a multimillionaire? Does he still get Pelosi like stock tips and a federal bodyguard?
Paul Ryan is still getting whacked off by Michael Fanone to his self portraits painted in the Capitol building. I’m sure he get crumbs after Pelosi is done hand picking best stock trading tips.
He lives behind a gate. His political career is finished, but he’s a multi-millionaire thanks to his time in office. Neither he, his children, nor his grandchildren will need to work a day in their lives.
But his afterlife….
I’m not the arbiter of his afterlife, but butter wouldn’t melt in Ryan’s mouth. He justifies himself in hating Pres. Trump and sabotaging the republic because of it. No it doesn’t wash at the lowest common denominator, but – he’s a swamp guy.
M/F gun ownership
finally, in early ’92 I fled the Big Apple for Orygun. within 3 mos of arrival I took the class needed for a carry permit. it was a class of 15: only 2 males, me and one other guy. we were lucky to get in; I understood the next 3 classes were 100% female- again this was ’92. BTW: primary discussion was how to accessorize the short-barrel 9mm in fannypacks/purses
FLRAA airframe
I keep looking at the latest and greatest (and think about how I’d love to fly them), but I wonder if we’re not still fighting “last year’s war”, an entirely new look with new eyes is desperately needed
IMHO (n’ ah know nuttin’), boots on the ground with an M1 carbine is the only fighting force that’ll win wars, but dose danged drones…
Boron, so you’ve been trained to accessorize? I’m sure you look fabulous with your lightweight 9…
With me, accessorizing my Gat, once I get a holster I like, is more like, “Hmmm… Broadsword and single edge knife or Kukri or Tomahawk or, eh, 2lb sledge?”
–
2lb sledge beats tactical armor very well, and at least it will concuss most helmet wearers.
The last few classes I assisted with before our moved to Colorado were almost exclusively women, probably about 75%~80%. And most of them were asking about concealed carry.
Beans – they make ball peen hammers in that weight class for auto mechanics.
Might want to check them out, a little more versatile.

– Kle.
Klebert, I like a short-handled 2lb sledge. I use one for camping, smithing work, smashing nuts and general household uses. It even throws well as the head definitely leads when thrown.
–
Ballpein hammers are good for some things, but if I’m close enough to use a hammer I’ll either use my Eswing claw or that 2lb sledge.
Conservative, shmaservative…don’t care, only care they are the best for America as the Cesspool has trashed the place from a patch of land on the Potomac. Trump et al are THE BEST we have at this time…I trust that group a millions times more to right the heeled-over ship and get us back on the right path. Time For A Reset ™.

Nessie- Back many moons, in the engineering consulting days, had a meeting at the EE & software guru (always kidded him about the software part, acted like he was writing a novel – heh)…walked in and asked, “How’s it going?”. Looks at me and says, “Well, it’s a Flying Pigs day”, then moved out of the way to his new screensaver. Can never get that image outta my head. hehe.
Winning is important for President Trump – for him and on behalf for us as well. The cloistered conservates liked to smoke pipes, sit in overstuffed leather chairs and bullshit to each other. They held themselves above everything – the old-school tie types. When I worked in the intel biz, you could tell them immediately. The uniparty nurtured them. They long for the good old days back before birth control and LSD. Nothing to them was pragmatic. President Trump, a businessman (recall The Apprentice), comes from a viewpoint where it works, or you’re fired, and I’ll find somebody who can make it work. Musk runs his companies just like that. They work hard – very hard – and deliver and are appropriately compensated. No drones.
I’m on the cusp of starting a new business with a friend. It will start small, and if it is to succeed, there will be no drones and no DEI. It’s a big departure from much that I’ve done, and the associate has the funding sources. My point is that the government should be held to the same standard, at least in part.
Good luck…major h/t for: “Stay Independent & Keep Earning ™” [brothers admonition].
This new thing has some potential. The proof of the pudding is in the eating.
What is the point of doing anything if one does not go in with “success” as the goal? Politicians are not of that mind, as you point out. They are the ONLY perpetual motion devices on the planet, winning is a foreign concept to them, it’s about play the game and not getting buried by the Meat Grinder Machine that is Government, or at least how it has metastasized. The Federal “system” resembles nothing The Founders prescribed, installing the proper constraints but failing the cunning of modern scumbaggery at the hands of unethical and immoral men [and woman] to undermine what it is they drafted in plain language.
One can only hope that there are enough votes for the Republicans to beat the margin of cheat, but I’m not sure… Dammit
The polls are unreliable. Then again so are the mechanisms to count the vote.

I’m still buying fireworks to celebrate.
But I’m afraid concession speeches are a thing of the past.
Don’t set the fireworks off from your boat. I’m afraid of what might happen.
Fireworks from a boat. Why do I suddenly get the image of one of those LVTs from WWII that were loaded down with rocket launchers? Sail one of those puppies up the Potomac and I’d bet you could hear a million butt-holes slam shut. Bwahahahahahaaaaa.
–
Though some of the riverine monitors built on landing craft hulls that we used in Vietnam sound like fun, too. Turreted cannon, machine guns and large caliber autoguns, mortars and rocket launchers. With some armor. Whooot!
Get with EdB – maybe he’d launch a flotilla of fireworks ladened craft. It’s not beyond his skillsets.
Hmmmmmmm….
A nice flamethrower works, too. Flame works on fiberglass boats very well, too. And emplacements. And people. Heck, there’s not a lot that flame doesn’t work on very well…
