NZ Navy Ship Sinks

It makes it look as if I’m picking on the Kiwis, and it’s not as if the US Navy hasn’t had its pants pulled down around its ankles by incompetent shiphandling. But I’ll pick on the Kiwis, who can’t find sailors to man its ships, and the people there are in no way your Daddy’s Kiwi Navy, which was small but well staffed by committed professionals.
New Zealand is beset and besotted by political correctness with a naval demographic that has changed over the past twenty years (haven’t we all). They have nine ships in their navy. They can crew six barely. They could cull and select, and they might be able to send one out with a competent crew.
Thus, New Zealand has a navy that can sit in port while the bottoms rust out in the hopes of never having to fire a shot in anger.
When World War II began, the Imperial Japanese Navy outmatched its American counterparts. It took over a year for America to put torpedoes in submarines that worked as designed. I don’t think China’s People’s Liberation Army’s Navy is the measure of the Early WW2 Japanese, but the point is there. Maybe they can fix it? Maybe not.

It shoots flat—crack-thump, and you know the goat is dead even if it takes three steps. The hydrostatic shock will kill it. It is very unlikely to be wounded.
The blade would make a good sgian-dubh. File steel translates well into knife steel, and I expect that you wouldn’t want to overforge the metal because it can get brittle. I’m not an expert, and I’m not trying to tell you your business. You have a lock on the craft.

Regarding Airag or Kumus, one of the key factors in successful making of said drink is… climate. Needs to be done in a relatively cool, windswept, dry location.

Do not attempt in a hot humid climate like Florida as it will literally blow chunks all over the room as it ferments too quickly. Trust me. I got to see the after-effects of said attempt.
