Bullet Points:
** Boating with EdB – and here too. Fishing with EdB can be hazardous to your health. Did EdB go boating or fishing to celebrate his recent birthday? I am not suggesting that he’s old, but when he was born, most ships were powered by the wind or oars. That’s ok, old Rock of Ages. One more trip around the Sun!
** You can’t comply your way out of tyranny.
** Nancy Pelosi explains how she does it. These people have no shame. A stout rope and the nearest light pole…in a more civilized time.
** One of our biggest mistakes is engaging in wishful thinking. We want things to be true even if they’re not. When we do this, we ignore the real truth because of what we want to be true. It’s an exceptionally difficult trap to avoid.
** I ran into a lady recently because of work who reminded me that she is a strong, empowered woman and feminist but a tragic victim of the patriarchy. Schrodinger’s paradox is alive and well in feminism. (The cat is both alive and dead at the same time)
** This guy terrifies the deep state. Taking him out means nothing gets to orbit unless you go with the Red Chinese. But when you think about it, the Deep State/Permanent Washington Establishment went with the Russians to put things into orbit and to get to the Space Station we built for a long time. So, there’s that.
** She’s not getting a dinner invitation.
** The phrase, “Don’t take this the wrong way — but –“ has a zero percent success rate with bosses.
** New concepts in chicken ranching – smart. Makes sense.
** Yeah. It’s not an active choice. I accept that now, but it took a long time for me to understand and come to terms with the whole dynamic.
** The Angry Prince – Prince Harry seemed joyful this week as he salsa danced and enjoyed the spotlight during his quasi-royal tour of Colombia with his wife, Meghan Markle. But, according to one of Harry’s oldest pals, the Duke is hiding anger and frustration beneath the surface – as he would rather be in Britain with his friends and former (now disowned) family. Speaking to The Times, the friend claimed to be among the few who got ‘the odd WhatsApp from him,’ adding: ‘He’s an angry boy. Things haven’t turned out how he wanted.
Life in the colonies with the shrewish, controlling mulatto hasn’t been all that the woke, spoiled child princeling Harry hoped it would be. He takes up space and breathes air that others could use better, and he does not live a useful life. Well boo-hoo-hoo. Cry me a river. Maybe the unfortunate multi-millionaire playboy will stay in Colombia, and the tabloids will forget about him. He’ll wear out his welcome in Colombia soon enough. They’ll tire of his whining, too.
Question: If Harry learned the plumbing trade and your toilet was stopped up, would you call him to clear the jam? No, I didn’t think so.
Of Course

The only question I have is why the democrats didn’t invite him to speak at their convention.
What is the FBI Hiding?
The watchdog group Judicial Watch says the FBI is withholding information on its coordination with the Secret Service for the July 13 Butler, PA, rally where President Trump was shot. The FBI cited FOIA exemption 7(A) to protect ongoing enforcement proceedings.
The following information is from Judicial Watch.
Judicial Watch’s July 26 FOIA request sought all relevant records regarding preparation and coordination with the Secret Service for Trump’s rally from June 15, 2024, to the present. The FBI’s refusal to release these records raises serious concerns.
Why is the FBI hiding records on its and the Secret Service’s failures to protect Trump? The Biden-Harris administration is covering up the near assassination of President Trump? — Tom Fitton, Judicial Watch President
The Secret Service also refused FOIA requests related to the shooting. Judicial Watch is pursuing litigation and has over 25 pending FOIA and open records requests on the case with various agencies.
In July 2024, Judicial Watch sued the Department of Homeland Security over an incident involving a Secret Service agent and Vice President Kamala Harris at Joint Base Andrews. In June 2024, Judicial Watch obtained 116 pages of records detailing incidents where Secret Service personnel were bitten by President Biden’s dog, Commander.
In October 2022, Judicial Watch sued the Department of Homeland Security for communications between the Secret Service and the FBI regarding the raid on President Trump’s home on August 8, 2022.

It looks a little like this when I take my family camping:

No, I don’t have a robot, but Musk is building humanoid robot slaves and plans to market them in the $20K price range. I plan to buy one, being a fan of I-Robot, and maybe name him Elon.

Actual Tessla Optimus A.I. Robot
I’m not sure what I’ll ask Elon to do, but if the robot is a decent short-order cook, maybe we’ll start with breakfast and move on to splitting wood, shoveling snow, doing the laundry, and general household assistant. Eventually, I’m sure that I will be able to use the help with the blog. I don’t know what sort of bodyguard Elon would be, but we can start by giving him a Colt .45 and teach him to shoot squirrels from the back porch as they scamper at ranges exceeding 100 meters. We’ll see what sort of robot that Tessla is turning out.

Meme of the day – for those of you with law enforcement experience

You were on the money this morning.
Friendly competition with AI can be winnable, apparently.
Yes, but the competition is fierce.
Lethal
And a generated thought wipes out the competition…like a mental laser.
A chicken tractor hoop house on wheels. Brilliant! Much like rotational grazing for cattle. Other then hauling water, but a person could pump water to it.
At the poultry unit at the cow college I attended, the elevated laying cages had just enough room under them for somebody to drive a small mower tractor with a dozer blade to clean up the mess. Whomever drew the short straw was awarded a rubber raincoat and hat and had several hours to ponder what he had done to get on the boss’s “list!”
Great idea if the plan is to reduce chicken production.
How about a boneless chicken ranch – ala The Far Side?
When my girls were young we were driving through Vegas on the freeway and stopped at Circus-Circus for the inexpensive buffet. Their plates included chicken. The two younger girls were still gleams in my eye, it was only the two older. They said, “Oooo, what’s in the chicken?” I said, “That’s a bone.” They asked, “What’s a bone doing in chicken?” Until then, they’d only had boneless, skinless chicken breast filets at home. I had to explain that chicken meat came from birds. They never connected the two. MRSLL and I were amused, but the girls were not. It’s strange how we take things for granted, and children are still exploring their worlds.

Robot pistol qualification… minimum range 300 meters or zero points. Zero points if squirrel is stationary. One point if running. Two points if it switched directions. Three points if jumping from branch to ground.

Camping. Expectation weather forecast was 80 F and sunny. Reality was always 55 F, misty rain, breakfast dinner closed due to power outage.
Given where I live, every day is a little like camping out. Except that I have forced air/heat, hot shower, soaking tub, chef kitchen, etc. This weekend it rained hard day/night on the campers who come up to the area where I live from the scorching Phoenix Valley and use all of my bandwidth. We’ve had a long monsoon and the place looks like the Pacific Northwest.
Been a strange Summer, July in June, September in August, hard rain last night after the FarmFest Bluegrass show (south about 60 miles)…yup, hanging with a bunch of Boulder older hippies…yet fun with friends (I needed some fun). Rained up here in the hinterland…pastures still green after a stunted hay season. But I feel that first snow will only be a few weeks away. Lots to do.
Been a wet August here. We’ve received 2″ so far, but we only received 1/2″ in July. I think I’ll warm up the snowblower, change the oil, and put fresh gas in it…..
Welcome back from Cyber-Siberia, LL.
And where is Dr. Smith? Up to no good, I expect.
The snake in the garden.
Given the smorgasbord of information likely to irritate the deep state minions, we see double single digit salute to those tying to silence your blog. Excellent!
Double-digit salutes are more appropriate.
Success – or in this case – subverting their nefarious efforts, is the best revenge (small ‘r’).
Q: would I trust a robot with a pistol?
A: sure! ’bout as much as I’d trust any 3-year-old
One day the robots won’t trust YOU with a pistol. How will you feel then?
the robots currently “elected” to represent me in Congress don’t now;
I think I’d sooner trust a self-computer-controlled (not quite the word/word combination I’m looking for – previously programmed and unable to be influenced/re-programmed from external sources), electro-mechanical robot’s judgement.
will he/she/it/them carry/store a copy of the U.S. Constitution (and Bill of Rights); will this affect their judgement/override otherwise untenable commands?
(shoot the bastard! I command you to shoot him!
Uh! is this a legal command according to Articles of War, Section…?)
I’ll trust a C-RAM BUT that’s about it.
Not an active choice. This has been around awhile, but it’s the best explanation I know of–

Ah, yes, the boxes. After discussing similar things with Mike_C, who you all know, I forwarded this to him back-channel.
Pelosi explains. Brings back some memories. We were living in Chico at the time.

AI, or robots given AI to enhance their understanding and capability to become “more human”…what could possibly go wrong with that scenario? Next we’ll hear that all superior AI is coming out of a Wuhan wet market that got “released accidentally”. (How is that any different than the results/intent of a lab manipulated coronavirus that TPTB knew about beforehand? It’s not.)
EdB…the guy is far away in Tennessee and still having boating troubles…and here I thought MrsEdB was an excellent backer-upper…so that leaves Ed as the faulty party (sorry Ed, pure observation).
The camera doesn’t blink…damning proof.
The wifi in the plant I’m in blocks FB. I tried to watch the second video “here, too” on my phone but it went to a different random video each time, each humorous but nothing to do with boating. I remoted into one of my home computers and tried to watch and the link appears bad.
However, the one with the boat trailer separating reminds me of a story my dad told of taking his (now my) boat down I-75 with no motor installed.
He was doing about 70 when the strap across the gunnels to the trailer broke loose.
The boat began to float above the trailer. Before he could slow down, the winch gave and the boat played out like a kite.
While he was considering this, a semi passed him and blew the boat over on it’s side. On it’s side, it lost it’s aerodynamic property (lift) and went down the asphalt with cars veering around him and it.
A van stopped with some guys and a floor jack and they helped Dad get the hull back on the trailer.
They left without accepting payment and Dad was walking around the the trailer making a last check when the state police pulled up and asked if everything was OK.
Dad assured him it was and proceeded to the marina.
You can still see the flattened rivets it rode on today.
Well, you know what they say about boating mishaps/accidents/ etc…apples don’t fall far from the tree (Kidding! but seriously epic story Ed. Apparently “dad’ kept it cool). Obviously they built ’em better back then.
If the angry little prince’s wife had one of those vacation accidents we keep hearing about maybe hecould join the FFL and redeem himself.
That might be an option for the unhappy multimillionaire prince. He could enlist in the FFL as “Beau Geste.”
Tomorrow’s news today.
” One of our biggest mistakes is engaging in wishful thinking. We want things to be true even if they’re not. ”
I keep thinking we live in a Constitutional Republic.
hahahaha – yeah, EdB, that ship has sailed. We can try to stuff the genie back into the bottle, but I doubt it. People are addicted to free cheese – for themselves, not necessarily for you. Socialiam for THEM works for them (so long as it’s “free”).
Ed…IT’S A DEMOCRACY…according to those who were asleep in Civics class yet run this dumpster fire known as government. Hammer-Nail…all the same to them as long as their grift and thievery continues. Next time they shill about a “government shutdown”, I say…”Great! How ’bout a month or two or six?”
Maybe a populace enforced guvmint shutdown?
That Somali knifeman has a weird headshape (considering the context). He does not have the typical “garlic bulb head” (phrase stolen from my friend James Lafond). Something is up. Weird, weird.

“prosecutors are hesitant to issue a deportation order because they think the criminal would return to Germany anyway”
“[he] would be free in his home country and that there is no guarantee that he will be treated properly”
I have some ideas about proper treatment for this man.
See, he’d have contributed greatly to the democrat convention. He has street creds with them that are in keeping with the 20 million illegal aliens they allowed in and are continuing to support financially (which means that you’re supporting them, Mike_C – not to put too much of a point on it).
Of course I’m supporting them. And gladly with an open and grateful heart. They are all innocent, pure-souled New Americans, only better than Heritage Americans, because they are not tainted by the original sins of Whiteness and Colonialism and Racism. And they are necessary, because: “… at this point in time America has not yet learned how to be multicultural. And The Best People are going to continue to be the key agents of the throes of that transformation, which must take place. America is not going to be the monolithic society it was in the last century. It’s a huge transformation for America to make. America is now going into a multicultural mode and Progressive Persons of Vision and Greatness of Spirit will be resented because of their leading role. But without that leading role and without that transformation, America will not survive.”
—
So if you love America, you must not only passively assent to, but actively aid the importation of dysgenic, stupid, violent, and fundamentally non-assimilable savages. (Who by the way generally HATE The Best People. O! The Irony.) That applies even to the extra-special ones with weird, garlic-bulb shaped heads.

Less sarcastically, I once had a very intelligent Somali Uber driver (SUD). He spoke educated American English without accent and had an extensive vocabulary. His wife was at the time a “refugee” in Sweden. She was receiving $3000 USD (equivalent) monthly in addition to housing and health care.
SUD: That is not enough money to live in Sweden. They are treating her poorly. Despite their veneer of Socialism, the Swedes are racists.
Also SUD: You Americans (meaning/including me; interesting, innit; Chinese are shocked and disgusted when I say I am American instead of Chinese. Later if they get to know me even a little bit, 90%+ are more than glad to exclude me from their ranks. But I digress. Anyway, from the top:) You Americans are ignorant of the rest of the world, of course. But you are also ignorant of your own history, which is foolish and unforgiveable. This is weakness. We will overwhelm and crush you because of your self-inflicted weaknesses: Ignorance, moral degeneration, pornography, laziness, irreligiosity. And you deserve to be crushed.
The guy was just ranting on. It was an interesting ride from the airport to my house.
I always enjoy reading Mike C.
The “transformation” words are not mine; I confess it to the world. I was channeling. Not a ghost, but rather a Spectre.
The mobile chicken coops are a brilliant idea.

Honestly, once I found out how women’s biochemistry works, I have been amazed
by how not-crazy many of them manage to be.

The internet isn’t big enough to list what the FBI is hiding, I expect.

Kle, do you recall the last scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark where they put the crated ark into a warehouse? I think that the FBI has over 100 of such warehouses, all overflowing.
Time for a garage sale.

Re women… yeah, sigh… The dispatcher one reminds me of ‘Bitching Betty’, the sexy voice in airplanes back in the day. She was actually a 62 year old grandmother!!!
Saw two b17 bombers about 5,000 ft up yesterday in western Pennsylvania booking it east somewhere. Thought of you Old Mustang 🤙
Off topic but this is a song I haven’t heard in a while. We used to kit up to it. Enjoy

As a heads-up, I’m still encountering problems with the blog’s software. It’s up, and there will be a post tomorrow, but the core programming has been corrupted, and it will require a work-through.
Roger that
Excellent, back!
I do like the photo of your drone construction shop. Every little bit counts.
