      1. The stretched M-113, the MTVL, with the 400hp diesel engine, was easily uparmored to protect against up to 30mm cannon fire. Canada and some other countries did this (basically taking a thrashed M-113, slicing it into sections and adding said sections to an existing M-113 by cutting it and…)

         Why we, the US, didn’t do this still boggles me.

         Of course, it still boggles me that Congress required all M-113s in US service to be cut up before being sold for scrap.

   1. I am not privy to all of the details of the assassination attempt. The FBI will hide what they find, a common pattern with that agency even if there is no reason to hide it. I’m disturbed by the 20 year-old’s potential foreign bank accounts (unless they were gaming accounts), with the shot that killed the assassin from 460 yards away even though there were counter-snipers 140 yards away (Lay-off shooter) who apparently didn’t shoot. With the fact that they let the assassin fire eight times before removing him from the gene pool even through they had him zeroed. With the open roof and apparently open access wandering around with a ladder and an AR-15 and so on. I went to the exec. protection course at Glenco, GA and NONE of that is taught. In fact, the SS violated policy over and over. Not your daddy’s Secret Service? Maybe DEI? But I’m disturbed by failure at just about every level — at PJT’s last appearance before the national convention.

         1. They failed to have Pres. Trump killed. It was botched because the shooter was incompetent. The first two or three shots weren’t badly placed. #1 should have been lethal, but then he was down and the photos showed the bullet passage because of disturbed air – but his target (PJT) was down. Then he pumped a few into MAGA supporters before the lay-off shooter finished him. Divine intervention? You be the judge on that. He should have been able to arrange a cold bore double-tap and have adjusted for wind. Incompetent.

            1. #1 the cold bore shot should have been a CNS hit in the fatal “T.” Central Nervous System hit between the ears down to the teeth would have severed the medulla and its lights out. Wind shouldn’t be a factor at all with that short of a distance to target. Especially if the gun was dialed in already.

         2. Funny thing about those conspiracy theories…every one of them from the past 6 or 7 years have been verified as true. Everything we are being told is a lie or dragged so far into the nebula it cannot be discerned one way of the other so we are left with Occam’s Razor.

         1. Something needs to be done about the FBI. It’s easy to say, “throw the bums out,” but from a practical point of view, that’s exceptionally difficult. The tumor has been allowed to grow to the point where you need selective excision. There is no reason for BATFE to exist. Roll them into DEA or some other program. FBI doesn’t want ATF folded into them. Secret Service is an easier fix. Separate them from Homeland Security. The only problem is how to keep the executive branch from weaponizing them against rivals. Ask Bongino. He may have a solution.

11. So I’m no expert, but I’ve been fooling around on Google Earth with the 448 yard shot thing.
    I don’t get it. Where was the other counter sniper team located?
    There is a hanger with a red roof SW of where Trump was speaking that meets the criteria.
    But that brings up even more questions like why would they have a Team there and not on the AGR building?

    1. I’ve asked myself the same question. If you look at the splatter marks from the shot (my guess is .300 WinMag), it was taken from behind. There was a photo of the carcass that indicated it didn’t come from the side and the shooter didn’t shoot over the heads of the other SS countersniper team.

       They didn’t have a sniper on the AGR building because the assassin needed to use it as a platform….

       1. Again, going by Google Earth, I can’t find a vantage point to the North that isn’t screened by trees or buildings.
          There are commercial/retail buildings are route 68 but anyone positioned there would only have a view to the top of the AGR building… which would mean their only job was to take out Crooks are he shot….(No, I’m not quite ready to accept that this was full on assassination attempt……but I am leaning that way more and more)

          1. The 448 yard shot claim came from USSS. They claimed their person took that shot. You pull back far enough and you can get him zeroed from the ground. The assassin was on the back-slope of the roof, visible from the north.

             1. The girls gym is 400+ yrds away. Mike Morgan (Outdoors With The Morgans) lives in the area, he was at the event 75 yrds from the stage, front center. He did a live post event video and the next day he used Google mapping to lay out what and where. In a detailed post mortem. His is not the only theory as to sniper positions, vantage points, etc. water tower, gym, fenceline, sounds, etc.

             2. I did notice that. But that brings me back to the question of ‘why?’. Why would the USSS have a Counter -sniper that far out, with no view of the rally grounds, yet with a clear shot at the reverse slope of the AGR roof? Unless they knew where the shooter was going to be…. And were assigned to take him out after he shot…..

12. As a few others have pointed out, when Trump entered the convention to accept the nomination, he was surrounded by several tall men. Perhaps some in the USSS spoke up saying they were not going to go along to get along. Their reputation trashed. Perhaps an internal mutiny?
    Now we have some of the American Media Maggots (h/t BZ) proving Trump was never wounded by publishing photos of his left ear.
