Calling me privileged because I’m white is judging me by the color of my skin. It is the essence of racism.
Bullet Points:
** Podcasts – replacing ‘traditional news’ outlets?
** The rich would have to eat money if the poor did not provide food.
** A discussion of the US Army’s recruiting crisis. A 43% drop.
The US Military Academy has been sued by qualified white candidates, including a high school student with a 4.2 GPA, three family members currently serving in the military, and a grandfather who fought in the Army on D-Day and was kept out because their skin color was not diverse enough.
** I hope that you’re not one of these people.
** President Joe Biden: “If you have to force a fart, it’s probably a shart.” That’s one thing that Pedo Joe can speak on authoritatively.
** There are 200 trillion galaxies in the observable universe.
** If you’re going to a job interview and feel it would be useful to answer the questions like the Vice President of the United States of America would.
** There is a rumor that Elon Musk wants to buy enough Disney stock to control the company (thus ‘own’ the company). Wouldn’t that be interesting? Disney should be thrilled that an African-American could own them. How woke would that be?
** If you’re talking to a liberal – they’re not colored people. They are people of color. There’s a big difference.
** There are at least 48 preferred pronouns out there, circling around. Amazingly, there are people who take this shit seriously.

** If you’re better off now than you were four years ago, you are likely an illegal alien.
** You can’t sell electric cars if gasoline is cheap. Let’s face it, if you can’t afford gasoline, you should buy an $85,000 electric car.
** Pedo Joe has done more for Ukraine in a single term than he’s done for America in 50 years.
** Jules takes us down the Rabbit Hole.
Is it DRJIM or Dr. Zin?
Has anyone seen them both at the same party at the same time?

I didn’t think so.
Manufacturing Jobs
…Those unfilled jobs represent squandered opportunity. While politicians and policymakers talk about bringing manufacturing jobs back to America in an era of rising overseas costs and international tensions, it’s unclear whether organizations can find enough workers to fill those positions. Underlying the problem: a misguided emphasis on college-for-all, declining academic performance in public schools, and the short shrift that school districts give to technical training. Hillary Clinton without Makeup

It’s a welcoming note to you from the Clinton Global Initiative. If you’d like to donate to them but don’t know how, send your cash or hallmarked gold and silver bars to the White Wolf Mine, care of me, in Arizona. I’ll gladly administer your donation, applying a small portion of your gift to administering and overseeing the local war against chattel slavery in Northern Arizona (see last Sunday’s Sermonette on this blog).

I see there is currently no comment counter as formerly existed. Is this gone due to the redesign or will it be reappearing?
Shirley you jest!
back in my younger days i was counseled that i wasn’t adaptable to change. that’s not true, i’m just not adaptable to constant change due to incompetent leadership. i was a little pissed that i had spent three months preparing to provide training to a group of soldiers in a garrison environment only to be told upon arrival that not only would i not be doing so but also we would be going to the field in another part of the world for training ourselves. but that is not the case here, change is good. thanks LL for not chucking the whole thing, i would miss my morning read terribly. and i’d probably earn another counseling statement.
Is that Dr. Zin or Dr. Zim?
There are those of us who read/skim/peruse your posts very carefully: obsessive-compulsives and those who were in intelligence (“Not I,” said the dentist; “certainly, most definitely ‘Not I!'”)
Still mulling about the new format. As I get older I find I look upon change with a jaundiced eye; though I’m always enjoyed to read one of your new shorts.
Glad you’re back up-n-running…and hey!, I can comment without getting pushed to a Somali hacker page demanding I send them my last sheckel to release my computer from data loss, like all those stored pictures I never look at. Win, win. (kidding)
Cheap Petrol vs. EV’s– Which is why The Husk and his Handlers on day one shut down everything PDJT did to create energy independence, done to push the EV/Wind/Solar Unicorn agenda that afforded more Chinesium dominance in our homeland. The Hur hearing theater (not so much him, but the Dem bums using the time to accuse Trump of everything Biden actually did), shows how so far off the rails Congress has become, this isn’t fighting over some “appropriation bill” (which should never exist, but I digress) but more like push-narrative slinging in order to discredit the guy responsible for the investigation and report because they are scrambling for a foothold on the the cliff of destruction. As that dimwit Hank “Guam will tip over” Johnson said to Hur, “Are you not a member of The Federalist Society? (Like that’s something bad. For clarity, in case this galactically stupid idiot doesn’t understand, TFS studies and upholds The Constitution, same as he’s supposed to do with taking The Oath). When Hur says he’s not a member, Limp Johnson derides him for being a registered Republican, as if that’s now a crime. Unreal…but that’s where we are as a nation, a bunch of losers and nitwits willfully running us into the abyss while rearranging the deck chairs.
Tranny’s- Here’s one: A dude with courting tackle (h/t LL) is still a dude regardless what he sees when looking in a dirty mirror (still looks like a dude to me). This cross-dressing mental illness – masquerading as a feel-good community type article – is getting pushed at every turn, waiting for the Hallmark Channel to follow suit. Maybe Musk can turn Disney back to Walt’s prescription, stop him from doing RPM’s in his grave at the hands of The Demented:

On a happier note, before heading to town (the South one) and seeing all this weirdness front and center…is…Jules. Always worth a visit…living large vicariously through her Motherland adventures and musings helps keep the chi in balance.
Oops, formatting went haywire…no italics, and paragraph breaks lost.
Was thinking this was transitional as you mentioned below, thanks for getting her up and running, the content matters. Besides, you have enough to do than arm wrestle with Blog hackers to keep us Lurker’s happy. That said, you are fully “exonerated”…the Shill’s favorite new word du jour that was used to the opposite on PDJT after Mueller dropped his 40 mil sham-wow bravo sierra report.
I have a day job in addition to blogging and defending the blog. It’s not much of a job but it pays the bills and it’s my job. If I was to eat based on blogging income (a negative number), I’d just offer my carcass up as fertilizer.
Manufacturing jobs. The place where one of my sons works builds robots used in manufacturing. They can’t get enough people to work so he, and all the other qualified techs can work as much overtime as they desire.
Same thing goes with the service industry. Every place I stopped at when I did my weekly trip to local big town in the PNW had help wanted signs in it. Talking with the manager at the Great Falls Sam’s Club he was saying they put in self checkouts not because it cut costs, buyback was something like 5 years, but because they could not get people who were able and willing to run a cash register. I don’t want to know what is at the bottom of this downhill slide but I expect we will all find out.
I know a guy doing IT contract work with a large outfit in the Midwest. He was one of three rotating the on-call support for an app. One guy retired not too long ago and the company laid off the second guy in a company downsizing, so my friend is now on-call 24/7. For some strange reason he is not planning on renewing the contract after it expires, and is looking at what is out there when the time comes.
I’m liking the new cleaner format.
I can reach it on my phone now!
It’s good to see you back!
200 trillion galaxies & a galaxy is a HUGE thing….
Glad to see you back up w/o static!
IDK about anyone else, but I can just barely read the text – it is very fine, and sort of grey-on-grey.

You are gonna get a negative comment. I don’t much care for this format. Any chance LL of you going back to the old format? I am a bit like Riverrider, I don’t mind change, but I go with my first impression, and this one is fubar heading to the round file. It reminds me of the old bulletin boards that covered the whole screen and packed with too much information that wasn’t relevant to the article or idea being presented. Any chance LL of you going back to the old format?
The old format was infected. This is a transition format. If you don’t want to visit the blog because of it, I understand. I am not personally fond of it. However since the hackers are literally embedding malware in the format, I must be cautious.
Some people like the new format, some don’t. You’d all kick if you were hung with a new rope.
Oh no, a day without you, PaulM, Ed and especially my favorite cardio doc that graduated last in his class Mike_C… Would be a day, I assume room temp. Like anything I will adjust giving a little time and grow to like it whether I like it or not. I would ask to help relieve these poor eyes a darker font? Then I will shut up and enjoy the suck.
I wasn’t aware it went that deep into the theme format. Is this format any safer to exploit?
I’d preferred a well seasoned, already fully stretched, rope please. It will go better with my future eternal damnation due to the old family curse being bestowed upon me.
I don’t know where I graduated, but it sure wasn’t first. I failed microbiology my first year. (M1 and 2 are all classroom back when I was in.) Micro was a weeklong unit, M-F. Monday I went to the American Heart Association conference where I had some presentations. Got home Thurs night. Went in Friday morning to take the 100+ question test. Failed. Don’t know how badly. Monday morning I called in and reamed out by the course director. “Did you even study? I didn’t see you all week. Where were you?” I was in Dallas. “Dallas? Why were you in Dallas?” Speaking at AHA.
——
This went on for a bit. Eventually he grabbed his head with both hands and said, “Get out of here.” I got called by an admin that afternoon who said, “they’re giving you a retest next Monday. Don’t mess this up.” Monday they administered a 20-question test (mostly softballs) just to get me out of their hair. That was basically the course of my M1 and M2 years.

As you’ve gathered, I did cardiology stuff, as a researcher, before med school. Medical equivalent of a mustang. I dunno if this is an accurate comparison, but I was probably like a warrant prior to med school. No one knew exactly what I did or kept track of my whereabouts and time. I occasionally trained fellows (MDs in advanced training) in some esoteric thing. My boss, a good guy but very by the book, eventually got to “I need X done. Can you make it happen? I don’t want to know how you do it. Really, don’t tell me.” So life was good, but there was no long term path in the hospital for me. Plus I “needed a D(octorate)” because I saw what happened to my friends who didn’t have their MD or PhD 20 years down the road.
——-
Incidentally, I took the M3 and 4 (clinical) years seriously. And when I became an intern I was all in. Because even though I was some stupid puke of a larval doctor (officer), I had real responsibility in a moral (and legal) sense. Sitting in a classroom memorizing the (99% useless) Krebs cycle is nonsense. Taking care of actual human beings matters. Its clear that getting the MD (commission) was useful for status (I mean like a union card, there’s no social status worth speaking of when over 50% of the people you deal with IRL are also MDs). But I don’t feel any smarter. Pretty much every day has some element of learning (good) but also “geez I hope to hell I know what I’m doing here”. Guess that’s good because complacency is a bad thing.
——
Hah! Didn’t expect THAT spew when you made an offhand comment, didja, Kevin! That’ll learn yuh. (I’m waiting for a flight and too inefficient to be doing actual work, even though I have literally dozen papers to read in my bag. Revisiting adverse aortic remodeling as a measure of aging and other accumulated risk factors….)
Mike, sitting here stunned… But, I passed my Microbiology. Damn Algebra was my downfall, so chemistry was a burden, but I slogged thru and passed with a “C” and was proud of that!
““We are an Army that wants to look like America,” Maj. Gen. Kevin Vereen, the first black head of Army Recruiting Command, had proclaimed.”
The Army is looking less and less American, by design, every day.
If you trust PEW statistics, which I’ve found skewed in the past:
“The Black population of the United States is growing. In 2022, there were an estimated 47.9 million people who self-identified as Black, making up 14.4% of the country’s population. This marks a 32% increase since 2000, when there were 36.2 million Black people living in the U.S.”
https://www.pewresearch.org/social-trends/fact-sheet/facts-about-the-us-black-population/
This should mean that the forces defending our country should more or less reflect this statistic.
Should it also reflect these statistics (If you can believe them?)
(there was supposed to be an additional line, but the comment “published” before I was ready)
https://www.brightfuturesny.com/post/average-iq-statistics
Too bad most effective ‘Americans’ are heterosexual Caucasian males. No place for them in today’s military.
Another affirmative action general who doesn’t want an army that can win wars.
And I read today that West Point is fixin’ to scrap the old “duty, honor, country” thing. What the actual EFF?
Haven’t had a chance to verify it yet, hope it’s not true. A pox upon their house if it is. The demolition is nearing the point of no return.
Thanks for keeping the home fires burning. Personally i could care less about the format but care a great deal about the info and insight that i get to read and absorb daily. Considering i only access this blog on an iPad i kinda like the pictures being displayed much bigger now.
x2
New format is fine. In so far as the complaints, if the complainers would state specific disagreements aside from newness, deficiencies likely can be accomodated by some settings changes. Glad you are still online LL. I hope you wrought vengeance upon the hackers.
There are about 10 observable galaxies in my “universe”. Everybody, but me, loves street lights, security lights, motion lights and fears the dark. Every now, and then, there is a brilliant, clear night with a transparent atmosphere. No moon, plenty of starts, and I can spend some time in the darkest section of the property observing through my binoculars. Of course, the dim, hazy spots I see that have no color are fascinating to me. To most people, they feel cheated, since the fantastic color photos of these objects are available on the internet.
Some interesting tidbits seen elsewhere: the big money people are switching from stocks to interest bearing accounts. Some insurance companies look like they might be planning to drop Part D coverage. You’d almost think they are anticipating big financial events in the near future.
New format, old format? I’m just happy to be able to read your blog and all the comments.
Air America D-18 Beechcraft. Sweet birds! And re the US Army’s recruiting crisis, the Army cut their manning by 24,000 soldiers in the latest tranche of cuts.
Jerk: Excuse me? “Manning”. MANning?!! How dare you! It’s personning.
Jerk^2: “Personning? PerSON?” It’s perchilding.
Original Jerk: Saying “child” is age-ist and furthers the narrative of parental “control” which is nothing more than oppression by economic means. And by size.
Normal Person: Now I’m really confused. We’re not supposed to say “child” as in child molestor, but instead we have to say “Minor-Attracted Person”. And now you’re telling me you can’t say “child” OR “person”.
How can something be a crime if it can’t even be described? ROL requires clear definition of harms; consistent, impartial adjudication of claims of harm; and proportionate application of penalties and punishment if and as needed. But if you can’t even describe or define what the victim even is, can there really be a victim?
This in from earlier…more wobbly in the Democrat wagon wheels:
“Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee threw out six counts of solicitation of violation of oath by public officer against former President Donald Trump and five other defendants in Georgia.”
Thing is some were Count 2, others were Count 38, begging the question, How many “Counts” did these criminal Lawfare practitioner’s put up? Democrats have to destroy democracy in order to save it, apparently that’s their demented play. Must be Trump’s “white privilege” the judge was using to “semi-exonerate” him for these six counts. Oy vey.
Best comment BTW: “May the heathens get curb stomped in an absolute electoral rout this November.”
SISU MAGA ™
Getting “curb stomped” is no small thing.
A curb stomp, also called curbing, curb checking, curb painting, or making someone bite the curb, is a form of assault in which a victim’s mouth is forcefully placed on a curb and then stomped from behind, causing severe injuries and sometimes death.
The minds eye visual is enough to get the picture, as a metaphor itgives the right impression as to sending the message, We The People are tired of you reprobates destroying our Constitutional freedoms and national sovereignty.”
I lived in SoCal for 35 years…..I *know* what a curb-stomping is….
I suspect we might get to see the new woke army in action(?) pretty soon. We’ll transfer all the supplies to the forward operating areas (pick one, which one won’t matter) … then leave all behind as once again we skedaddle. Too bad the few remaining honorable members will pay the greatest price.
Can I lay claim (as a taxpayer) to abandoned arms and equipment in advance? What I’m asking is whether I could go shopping in the domestic military arsenal and take a rifle here, some ammo there, maybe a desert patrol vehicle (problematic though they are) and a few cases of 40mm grenades? I don’t want a lot. But since I paid for them, can I put a few items in my shopping cart before they’re transported x thousands of miles away and left for the enemy? Is it too much to ask?
What an excellent photo of Hillary. And great new look blog, clean.
Then there’s the curious fact that people aren’t too keen on joining the DEI Rainbow Army.
Yes, you are right Larry. Recognise photo number 2. Rode on Air America Beechcraft 18, also known as the Twin Beech, many times. Always delivered us to where we wanted to go, and picked us up afterwards, with no fuss and always on time. They were our preferred fixed-wing carrier although, on most occasions we utilised regular RVNAF transport aircraft. For rotary-wing we utilised, as I say in my book, one, and only one, RVNAF squadron which was assigned to us and which, when we were not using them, was also used by a couple of other units similar as ours.
You wouldn’t believe what we (?) have to do to keep our (?) schedules so perfectly synchronized. We (?) both learned some useful techniques by watching reruns of Tony Curtis in Boeing, Boeing.
At this time, however, all I’m authorized to say is that I may or may not be or not be the alleged Dr. Zin, and I can neither confirm nor deny that we (?) may or may not know each other and they (?) may or not may have met.
This post may or may not self-destruct in thirty seconds…..
Glad things are back up and running. LL you must be over the target, catching all this flac
Ticker Guy posted ,,,,,,America was built by white men with an IQ above 115, what happens when they are pushed out ? Or something like that. Looks like we gonna find out.
Two young men of my acquaintance just finished basic came home before AIT . Both still carrying baby fat, you could see it in the face.,,,,how is that possible ?
I still remember seeing my son after basic , he was a cadaver. We had to go see him after basic , didn’t come home before AIT. That was back in the early 90s . Things changed I guess.
